I disagree.
Man has always tried to corrupt what God has said and twist what He really is.

Even if humans create a perception of what they believe is the Greatest Conceivable Being, that doesn't necessarily mean they were not created by a being of this nature. Lets assume God created man. Then let's assume man created the perception of a GCB, thus including the predisposed divine creator. Man doesn't create God, just the idea. Whether or not this idea exists, it does not take away from the fact that our creation comes from a GCB.

You are correct to an extent. Man has taken to creating god's and worshipping them. That's why the Bible, in the book of Isaiah, shows the irony of that when it talks, in chapter 44 I think it is, of a man who takes a piece of wood, chops it in half then uses part of it to warm himself by & cook and the other half carves into an idol to worship. It makes no sense.

However, there's a difference between our loving, almighty Creator and the gods that humans have made for themselves and turned to rather than turning to him. It's like having a kind, loving and generous Biological father but rejecting him in favor of some other guy as a father figure because he lets you do whatever it is you please, regardless of whether it's good for you or not.

Good question, btw.

God created man, and created him to have perfect relationship with God, but mankind screwed that up by sinning and following other gods. That is fact, whether you want to believe it or not.

When man creates his own god, that is called an idol.

There is only One True God, the great I AM. God is- He has given us His Word- He has suffered in our place, taken the punishment of our sin upon Himself, and died so that we might have eternal life.

I believe that the Gods appeared to the Yogis and Sadhus of India. They saw them in those forms. And they told the people what they saw. Because so many Holy Men have seen the forms of Lord Ganesha and Lord Shiva, in that way; these Gods must look like this. I also beleive that God created man, He was just here first.

"Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living being." Genesis 2:7

As for man creating his own gods, you are absolutely correct. Who or what we serve more than God the Father and are devoted to becomes our God.

True. People see the divine the way their culture tells them too. If that's the case I'll see it my own way thank you.
I think we can all agree if there is a god, different religions are seeing the same thing in a different light. And our interpretations are probably wrong since they conflict.
