Please cite a reliable scholarly source detailing the discovery of Noah's Arc? Why hasn't this been seen in National Geographic or Time or the newspapers
Oh, and this being the age of the internet, please provide links to pictures. I would like to see what the remains of Noah's Arc looks like.

There are people here on Y! Answers that claim the Arc has been found. I want to know where they get this information.

A mysterious piece of wood does not an Arc make.
If anyone has any SOURCES they would like to share, that would be nice.

1 photo taken 47 years ago on some sketchy website is the best anyone can do? One would think with a find as significant as Noah's Ark there would be, I dunno, peer reviewed scholarly research, books, documentaries, in depth journalism, etc.
Not impressed.

Excellent, I would like to see some proof of this myself. In fact, I'd like to see proof of ANY miracle (parting of waters, burning bush, anything).

There is a structure made of wood found on Mt. Ararat in turkey, and it has been a mystery about what it is and how it got there. A few archaeologist groups were up there back in the 20's but Turkey refused to allow any more explorations about it. It can be clearly seen from satellites, and by it's size and shape fits the measurements given in the bible as Noah's Ark. I have seen this story time and time again on Discovery, and other TV programs over the years. I have also seen it on the cover of some magazine years ago, perhaps in the 70's. If there is an Ark still in existence, this would be the most likely one, since it also fits the description of the location of where Noah had left it, in the bible also. There have been a few other facts gathered in the first discoveries that also match the bible facts.

Whom is claiming that Noah's' ark has been found?
There has been rumors for YEARS that there had been "sightings" of ancient ruins of 'something' on Mount Ararat - yet never have I heard anyone come straight out and say that "It's Found!!"
And You are correct - if there is someone out there claiming that the Ark has been found - where is the proof? The media would be all over that story like a fly on horse crap...
Consider rumors to be undocumented stories that are straight-up fabrications: until they are supported by logical evidence that it is true......
Noah's' Ark , found? Even though I am a Christian - I would need to view proof before I would even believe in that it has been found!

Faith; Belief in something that has no physical proof.
Do you ask the doctor to show you proof that if you go into surgery, you will come out cured and will never have any more trouble? No. You willingly lay on a table and lapse into unconsciousness and have FAITH that he will do a good job and your life will improve. In turn, if you follow his instructions post-op, your recovery will go much smoother and you'll have a good outcome. If you either don't have the surgery, or post-operatively go against His word, then you will have serious troubles and your life will be full of misery.
People of faith don't need proof. We believe, follow His rules, and see blessings we would otherwise not have. But we are still people, and the confusion and bickerings among different denominations are a result of stupid human interference, not because God's Plan is at fault. It's up to each and every one of us to choose the path that's right for ourselves. Blessings
PS A bunch of timber on the top of a mountain, or the lack therof, means nothing to me. If you rely on physical proof, you lack faith. Period.

Christians have an extremely ordinary relationship with information. while the information seems to be going of their prefer (Shroud of Turin), they tout it as evidence of what they have been saying all alongside. while information turns bitter (the actually sorting out of the Shroud of Turin), they overlook approximately it and say they do no longer prefer information with the aid of fact they have faith. If the object is authentic, then that is definitely thrilling, besides the shown fact that that is nonetheless a great leap to declare that a wood shape got here across on a tall mountain is the particular Ark from an extremely particular know-how of non secular mythology. there remains no reason to have faith that the Ark might have come to relax on Ararat, there are thousands of alternative discrepancies that this would not address, and of direction it incredibly is definitely beside the point to the veracity or validity of something of the Bible.

Right on.
Noah's Arc has not been found and will never be found. The people who claim that the Arc has been found have been lied to (or are lying themselves)
No one will link one single credible source showing the Arc's discovery.

Stop claiming the Arc has been found. IT HAS NOT BEEN FOUND.

it has not been found, there is only a few who claim any bit of fact to it, the bible tells of where it landed but because of extreme weather conditions no one has been able to do any real exploration to find it. maybe in the future someone will uncover something.

Where have you been living… under a rock? Landsat and U.S. government satellite images and Turkish Military aerial images of Noah’s Ark have been floating around on the Internet for eons. Here is an overhead image of the anomalous structural formation on Mt. Ararat, and an article published in a noted American newspaper called USA TODAY, have you heard of this reputable publication? Ask and you shall receive…

Yes, in fact, National Geographic did publish a satellite image of Noah’s Ark on Mt. Ararat and published this article on April 27, 2004:

Here is a link to a site consolidating the search for Noah’s Ark by reputable scientific and university expeditions and an assortment of research and publications:
http://noahsarksearch.com/
The Flood of Noah is not an exclusive biblical account. It is not a strictly Christian belief. It is found literally in every cultural tradition and worldwide myths around the entire global, from the Ancient Babylonians, Ancient Greeks, the Eskimos of North America, Meso-America, the Incas, the Polynesians, the Chinese, and the Hindu. It does not appear to have been a “regional” event, but a “transterrestrial” event of utterly catastrophic proportions, an extinction level event.
