How can they get her to stop doing this? I am a dog person but I am to the point of hating this one.

i swear it's an American eskimo thing,i have 5 full american eskimos,3 out of the 5 used to eat their own droppings or the droppings of the other dogs,and believe me my dogs aren't missing any nutrients in their diet,they get every vitamin and mineral know to man added to thier food,i know its gross but some dogs just like the taste of their own droppings,there is a supplement your bother and his wife can add to her food to stop this behavior,they can order it from the Drs. Foster and Smith magazine or their web site of the same name,it makes the feces taste unapealing to the dog therefore stopping the habit it is called Dis-taste,there is also another one called For-Bid not too expensive runs somewhere between $16-$30.00 depending on how much they order,it is made of natural ingredients(fermented vegetables) so wont harm your pet

It's pretty common for a puppy to eat almost anything. If watching it eat it's own feces gags you, wait till she eats her own vomit! It'll happen, believe me.
My best advice would be to clean up her feces in the yard as soon as she goes. If it's not there, she can't eat it.
And please, don't allow yourself to get to the point of "hating" the dog. What you're seeing is actually pretty normal for a puppy. Just ask your mother what you stuck in your mouth when you were a baby!

The dog isn't getting the right amount of vitamins and minerals, give her a doggie supplement from your vet or local pet store. If she persists in the eating of the poop buy some Dis-taste, it can be ordered from DrsFosterSmith.com

well you should clean up the poop before your dog eats it or if you dont want to clean it you should keep her inside the house so your dog wont see the poo but it is really normal i know a lot of dog that do that they do that because they smell the food that they ate which is know in there poop

This is a common condition called PICA. If you go to your local pet supply store, they can give you something to add to her food which will make the poo taste bad. (as if anything could be worse to eat than poo)

this dog is missing some vital nutrients! get her some doggie gravy for her food that is vitamin fortified and make sure it goes on ALL that she eats... excluding her turds

you should giver her treats so she dosent my pom you to do that and we sprayed her with a water bottle in the face and she stopped
