coming from someone who has been overweight most of my life, at your age it would be a good idea to go see a doc and get some good advice.. you shouldnt mess around with dangerous diets which can really mess up your metabolism and your hormones. you need to get a good start at being healthy so that you will grow up into an adult with a healthy body... trust me... you will need all the health you can get when you are older in order to enjoy life to its fullest... hopefully you like healthy clean foods like fruits and veggies... make use of them first and add some protein.... an egg here and there... some lean fish, chicken, turkey, or beef.... and try some of the new fun whole wheat breads with the cool seeds and nuts in it.. your doc can help you with portion sizes....on all foods... i know at your age the world is pushing chips and pop and chocolate bars and all kinds of fun stuff in between.. try your hardest to keep them at a minimal.. not only for the sake of your fat cells but they just arent healthy... lots of chemicals and bad stuff .... so its not worth eating lots of it... be a role model for your friends.. show them the cool side of being healthy... and most of all... enjoy life!!!!!!! get out there and snowboard, ski, rollerblade, dance, run, walk, feel the beautiful air and enjoy the snow or the beautiful cool green grass... make healthy choices for yourself.. and be healthy... you deserve it.. dont let yourself go... cause when you all of a sudden are 40 years old and you realize what a mess your body and self esteem is in,,, it takes everything you have to get yourself fixed up.. and you never ever do get fixed up the way you want.... staying healthy while young will keep you looking and feeling gorgeous as you get older... take care and good luck

I'm the same height but 10 pounds less and I want to drop at least ten so you should first shoot for five, then ten, all the way to twenty pounds, but did'nt rush it!! Take your time. Eat healthy and exercise. If you eat a lot of junk food, limit that a little bit. And try some sports or go to the gym once or twice a week. I've also heard that yoga is a good thing, especially if you're flexible, but if Ur not, then that might not be the best thing to do.

you could lose anywhere between a stone and a half and half a stone and be in a healthy weight ..so it all depends on your build and outlook on life ..because 140 lbs is ok for most people your height

20-25lbs but if you are still likely to grow you shouldn't have to lose any. You will just get taller but try not to gain anymore weight.
