The best way to see mental disorders is a series of varying degrees of depression and stress. Mild stress produces an excellent person for creativity and performance. More depression saps the energy and creativity that these people once had as the leave neurosis and become bipolar. There are three levels used to describe Bipolar. Then the imbalance of chemicals made by your own brain plays havoc with the whole control system. The auto brain or lower brain can aggressively access messages that were kept from it earlier. As the depression continues and more and more logic substitutions are made the mind goes into a full psychosis where ideas are disassociated and language decays. The end result of psychosis from severe depression is schizophrenia which has been described as incurable . There are of course are always a few people who have been able to recover mental stability. The greatest learning step required for all levels of depression recovery is to see that society as two groups . Study what you group are in and stay with your own kind to find peace and happiness.

Well it can mean that your hearing 'false/imaginary' voices or seeing hallucinations a mental disease known as schizophrenia. If these don't apply to you, then your doctor probably means that you're a moody person, as sudden changes in mood is a psychotic symptomn and is sometimes NOT always associated with depression. Don't think just because you're moody that you are depressed. It can be that you need to let some energy out. Hope this is helpful to you.

If you are psychotic, you are suffering from a mental health issue. Did he recommend a psychiatrist? He may mean you're overly concerned with your health, or making things up to get attention.....ask the doctor who said it for his definition - we can only guess. Good luck!

It means that he is making a judgement statement about you that is probably not true and that you should find another doctor and not accept someone calling you weird or any other names that you don't deserve. If you need to talk to someone go and find a good friend or get on here there are plenty of people that will talk to you, and you won't have to pay them for it either.

having psychotic episodes doesn't mean you're crazy (if you're worried) - it's a brain "malfunction" and can cause thoughts that are problematic - hearing, seeing or smelling or thinking things that aren't part of "normal" reality...often doctors treat this with anti-psychotic medication...and it works very well - just remember if you do get it perscribed that you need to continue to take it for it to continue to work...
