I eat them both if I can get them. They are my favorite pieces.

I used to feed them to the ducks when I was a child and lived near a pond. Then I threw them away as I got older. When I had a child and sent her to school I would usually make her sandwhich with one of them turned with the bread side on the inside. After she got to 5th grade she said she didn't like them like that anymore so I stopped and threw them away again. Now sometimes I will save them and make french toast with them because they do not fall apart as easily as the other and nobody minds them with french toast

Hell yeah! The crust is the healthiest part of the bread! Thus, those end pieces are the healthiest.

Funny question. We call them the "heels". Nobody in my house wants to eat them! When we had dogs, I gave the heels to the dogs, but now that the dogs are gone, the heels usually get thrown out.

I don't like them but my husband does. I guess it depends totally on your taste buds. If you mean is it OK to eat them the answer is yes.
