No it is not normal. and No it is not because they have a small bladder and they have to go pee. Just like what some others have said, you should not greet them excitedly that makes them more excited. Excessive peeing is a sign of submission. Say a pack of wolves, when they see the pack leader the submit and sometimes pee to show submission. That is what the dog is doing. Lots of dogs do it not just toys. It is something that you need to help not happen. Look up The Dog Whisperer.. he will help you

My dog does the same thing and he's a 60 pound English Pointer almost 2 years old. It has nothing to do with the breed, it's your dog. There is really nothing you can do about it, except try to bring in the things that excite her more often but at a slower pace so that it is expected and she isn't totally surprised by it. Over the past year and a half that I've had my dog his peeing problem has declined a lot. He usually does it when new people come over, so I invited more people over, but I had him in the yard where he could see them approaching for example. hope this helps

My Toy Poodle used to always do this. In order to stop this, whenever someone came to visit, I put my puppy in her crate until I had time to greet my guests, and seat them. After everyone was seated, the puppy was allowed out to meet everyone. No peeing this way! Hope this helped you.

A lot of dogs pee when they're exited. My dog does it whenever my dad gets home everyday. Just to make sure you should go to the vet and have an expert check it out. It could be serious.

Our dogs is a Schnoodle. She is 7 months previous. We crate experienced her as well. do no longer enable your dogs out of your website. in case you may't watch the dogs, you should placed it in a crate. when you're feeling responsible for utilizing the crate a lot, attempt a leash contained in the kitchen linked to the table leg. flow all chairs so as that the dogs doesnt leap up and then down because they could carry themselves. :( you need to be contained in the kitchen to exhibit screen the dogs heavily. My dogs does no longer pee or poop contained in the area the position they rested or sat at the same time as on the leash. That worked properly to provide her a smash from the crate when I couldnt watch her run around the abode. i might want to practice dinner dinner and do different kitchen chores and the dogs become chuffed as well. We enable our dogs out each and every 1/2-hour, merely incase. She is starting up to make noises on the decrease back door at the same time as she has to bypass out, so that's tremendous. wish this facilitates

I think it depends on the dog and its behaviour. My step-daughter has a rott and she is such a baby (the rott, that is!) and wants to be a lap dog. Whenever someones comes to the door, she gets all excited and pees EVERY time! I mean EVERY time! Even if she had just been let out to relieve herself.

if the dog is subbmissive it will pee, dogs that are well socialized and trained tend not too, but any dog with a submissive personality will do that, you can help by taking her for potty breaks more frequently and not getting excited yourself when someone comes over or when you come home, ignore her until she calms down.

Submissive & in breed dogs do this. Peeing is showing submissive behavior. On other words this is how a lower dog on the totem pole greets others that are more doninant. just bad genes.

l think when they do that it is may be from excitement and their bladder is so small and she may have been holding it too long. it would be best if you let her out side while you are out there, don't go in . then may be an infection of the bladder. but l think it is because she is too full in the bladder.
