I don't believe most Muslims are terrorists or anything of the sort. But that one violent faction hurts Islam badly. A few bad apples leave a lasting impression.

I do not doubt your words, nor your facts.I have many friends who are muslims, and am proud that they are my friends.I would defend their right to express their beliefs ,and they would defend mine.
On a sadder note..Why , and i have asked this to my friends many times, when there is a Terrorist attack, that Targets innocent Civilians, do you not here from Islamic leaders, from across the globe, denouncing these attacks? I am saying Publicly denounce the Attacks? Sadly, the leaders of the muslim world do not. Ever. condemn their own. Literally, we in the west are infidels, and unless we convert to islam, we are not subject to the mercy, forgiveness and peace your religion offers,True?

Yes, so many people are looking for someone to blame. This world is very chaotic and there is quarrel everywhere. Some people are forbidden to look at, read, or hear of scriptures other than their own, and therefore are forced to remain ignorant of the precepts of peace, love, toleration, and order that are common to all religious principals. In every case, there are exceptions to those precepts. A Muslim could very well cite examples in the Bible where there was war, pillaging, immoral acts committed by Christians, and atrocities. This is the case presently in every religion. There are extremists who claim to be Christian, and use christianity to committ unspeakable acts against their brothers based on the color of skin. There are varieties of religion because not everyone is at the same level of spiritual realization of God. So, everyone can choose that which is best suited to their own level of advancement. It is not that Allah is not God. Allah is God. It is not that Jehovah is not God. Jehovah is God. Krsna is God. One God, many different levels of realization.
Now, people are manufacturing their own religion, by interpreting scripture to satisfy their own desires. "Oh, I do not like Jews, so I can interpret this way", or "Oh, I do not like Muslims, so I can interpret that way". They are trying to be God, instead of the servant of God. And so we have calamity. We must follow, individually, the instructions of our own scripture, without interpretation, or dry speculation. For those who cannot see that we are all brothers and sisters, with a common goal, attaining God, then what can we do? We can pray, "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do".

Already I know that the terrorists are a small minority among the Muslum world. Likewise, the Christian world has a small minority of such people. Hitler, for example, was a Roman Catholic.
As Churchill said, during war, truth is the first casualty. Bigotry is a part of war time propaganda. It will pass.
Peace to you.

what do you find peacefull or loving in the following
“When you meet the unbelievers, strike off their heads; then when you have made wide slaughter among them, carefully tie up the remaining captives.” (Quran47.4).
"And when the sacred months are passed, kill those who join other gods with God [i.e. moshrekin.] wherever ye shall find them; and seize them, besiege them, and lay wait for them with every kind of ambush: but if they shall convert, and observe prayer, and pay the obligatory alms, then let them go their way, for God is Gracious, Merciful."(Quran 9:5)
And as for Christians and Jews who rejected him he has this to say:
"Make war upon such of those to whom the Scriptures have been given and believe not in God, or the last day, and who forbid not that which God and His Apostle have forbidden..."( Quran. 9:29)
These are the injunctions of Muhammad’s Gracious and Merciful God. How can a “good Muslim” disobey these explicit “divine” mandates? And how can one who observes them be a “good person”? This is the question that sincere Muslims must ask themselves.

I don't believe all Muslims are terrorists. In fact the Muslims I have read post from on here seem to be extremely kind and respectful. Not the kind of person who hates Christians so much they would kill as many people (young, old, Christian, Muslim, Jew) as possible just to eradicate us. To me there are just as many Christian extremists as Muslim and while most Christian extremeists don't use bombs, we have a president who does, and they support him. That is worse I think.
Thank you for your post.

Right. And the Christians who shoot abortion doctors are not "true" Christians.
What are they then, butterflies?
Extremism is not a cop-out for religions that advocate violence, whether it's Islam or Christianity. I hate to break it to you, but yours advocates violence. Whether it is not allowing a woman out in public without a male chaperone or blowing up a subway station, is just a matter of degree. It's all coming out of the same book, and if an extremist interprets it one way and a moderate another, that does not change the fact that it's still coming from the same religion.
If you want to talk about having a peaceful religion, be a Pagan. They've never hurt anyone.

As of right now, the entire reason for existence is to fight over either gas prices, terrorism, or religious disagreement. This applies only to our politics and US military.
The reason of existence for the rest of the world is to complain that there is war over gas prices, terrorism, or religion.
