Original French Onion Soup. 1 Onion, salt, pepper, and butter instead of cooking oil. That's about the best tasting thing with the guide lines you described.

A fondue pot with hot oil, 1 inch squares of steak, salt & pepper. Just dip the steak in the oil to desired doneness and enjoy.
