Whats the strangest thing thats ever happened to you??
Life is full of coincedences and so called unexplained events. ^Many people dismiss these as a trick of the mind where as some become obsessed with it and form serious mental problems. I am somewhere inbetween. Im not religious but do believe we are all enery and that it wont disipate. Tell me about visions, spirits, esp or someother strange event that has happened to you or a friend. Some such events can be put down to the working of the human mind , I am fully aware of that 3,but there are a few that just cant be explained by conventional science these are the ones of interest to me.

When my family first moved in to the house my parents bought, I got the basement bedroom. One night (and I was home alone) while trying to go to bed all of a sudden right behind me someone was breathing hard...like struggling with each breath ( I got extremely cold too!!)... I got under the covers and thought of something else and it went away.... I just told myself it was my imagination and relaxed a bit. But a few minutes later it started again...I kept telling myself to look but I JUST COULDN'T!!! and I jumped out of bed and ran upstairs!!! I still slept in that room afterwards but always with the TV on because the nights I forgot about it I always heard stuff...like tapping on the walls or scratching at my closet door!!! ohhh especially with the scratching... I would hear it and then when I would get up to go look for the noise it always stopped. Then it would start again a little after I would lay back down... ughhh that was freaky!! I even opened the closet to make sure my cat wasn't in there but she wasn't... I wonder what would have happened if I left the closet door open?? But I was always sooo scared I would see something so I had to keep it closed!! My sister got to take the other room next to mine for a little while but she heard the breathing and decided to take back her room upstairs. One night while my cousin slept over with me in my room she woke me up in the middle of the night terrified cuz she said she heard the breathing too!!!

another one:

I used to nanny for like 3 years and the parents one day told me that "The Exorcist" is a very scary movie. So they rented it and we watched it and I pretty much laughed the whole way through because I thought the idea of the devil taking over a person was a stupid story. Then when we were going to bed--they upstairs on the 3rd floor, me in the basement, the father said "Don't let anything possess you." So then at like 2am one baby started crying so I went up, her bottle was empty and went to the kitchen to make a new bottle. After giving it to her, I got something in the kitchen and then walked out and then down the stairs and all of a sudden... I heard just about every cabinet and the refrigerator doors just opening and slamming shut over and over and over and over and over again!! It was soooooo loud and I just froze wondering if I should go try to look...and then it suddenly went dead silent. So I ran down and jumped under the covers!!! The next morning I asked the mother if she happened to hear anything and she said... "yes... what in the world were you doing in the kitchen?" So I told her....

still in the same house... one night in the mother was just in the living room reading and could hear on the baby monitor a young voice saying "hi" ... the baby was like 6 months old!!!

.. once while I was in the babies bedroom, I told her "lets go downstairs" and then when we got up to leave, one of her dolls that you have to squeeze to make it cry just started crying all by itself!! I was frightened for a moment but then just though perhaps "it" just wanted us to stay so we did for about 10 minutes more.

...When the baby was old enough to get a bed, one night she ran into the parent's bedroom and said "I'm scared of the man"

..Also, once me and the baby were hiding in the closet from the mother and the closet had slits in it so you could see outside, and the baby all of a sudden looked out, and seemed to be looking at something, and then said she was scared and so we had to leave.

...so many others things happened. But we know it isn't evil, even one night I forgot to shut off the stove and the babie's bottle "disappeared" so the mother who woke up to the baby crying had to go to the kitchen to make a new bottle and found the stove on. The next morning, we found her lost bottle under the crib....

we all think it is a young child...

hmmmmmm there are more...but I'll tell you an even worse one that happened to my friends... and here is where I am confused about jinn and ghost. Just read the story first.

My friends once moved to a house that had a garage. It was very small. Now, before they moved in, the house part used to be the garage, and the garage was the house. Well, everyone always hated going into the garage (that used to be a house before they ever moved in). They always heard wierd things... and strange things happened. Well, one night, the brother was outside of one of the windows scratching on it trying to scare everyone inside. All of a sudden he came running back into the house screaming and he peed his pants. Everyone asked him what was wrong and he said while he was scratching he felt a poke on his shoulder so he looked back and nothing was there but then he heard a voice say "Be careful".....and so he got scared like crazy!!!

In the same home my friend and her sister were watching TV one day and the sister got up to get something from the kitchen because the commercials came on. While my friend was watching a dish-water detergent commercial she said all of a sudden the screen went fuzzy and a face came on and was looking at her and said "Who do you think I am, The Devil?" and she wasn't scared just was thinking 'what an odd commercial" the face was still staring at her so she called for her sister to come see and just as her sister came and turned her face to the TV it went back to the dish-water commercial!!

--well..after even lots more wierd scary stuff, they all moved out and a few years later we found out that their was a family that lived there a couple years before they moved in there. The father murdered his wife and the children and then himself. Now, when my friends lived there the garage was the part that used to be that familie's home and that is why everyone was afraid of the garage!! This house is near my parents home and to this day it is abandoned...

ohhh here is another one I remember.... one night while my husband and I were on vacation and in our hotel room, we were in bed with the lights off and just chatting about stuff and all of a sudden we heard someone right next the the bed (on my husband's side) say something... it was real quick but it was definitely right next to us and it was a woman's voice... neither of us knew what was said though.... creepy.

ahhhh now I am all freaked out and I'm home alone!!! in this home there is one room I get the feeling someone is watching me so I don't like to go in there at night by myself... and my brother-in-law says he hears things in there too sometimes too.

there are more stories but I think I made my reply too long already so I'll leave it at that!!!

my husband claimed to have an out of body experience once or twice (actually, a lot), but nothing weird for me, just insights now and then. However, I did see the Valley of Death once. At least, that's what I thought it was. Then a year later, to the day, 911 occurred. It was weird, but I didn't put it together until I looked back in my "visualizations" diary and noted the date I had written it. At the time I had that visualization, I had no inkling that anything bad was about to happen, so in conclusion, I don't think it really had anything to do with it, although I couldn't get the two events out of my mind for some time, and even now, I still think of it.

I had a grudge against someone who was being very bad to me and my family and I prayed that God would hurt him, and the next time I saw him, he was on crutches. He had been out walking in the bush in the middle of the night, and had stepped into a beaver run so old, that it was a path a foot deep in the ground, and he sprained his ankle. How stupid can a person get?

Lately about two years in the past, saw a mild & a face, but no longer cleared. It used to be a 8 sec body subsequent to my mattress around 2 am in the morning. So far, this one only appeared once. It was heat love feeling and happy! Nevertheless, i do not appreciate the face. It began to maneuver closer to my face and disappearing like blowing out a candle. This happen about two years in the past. Other time, after I was younger 24 years old. I feel it was Oct. Every week before Halloween, a endure, a black panther in some type of spirit went through my body. That certain did scare the heck out of me!

Before the death of family members(my husband's and my own) or friends' relatives etc, I dream about formally, deceased family members - almost as if they're waiting! I then know that someone, somewhere has died or will soon die...not very nice, but I'm used to it now. For example, before I'd learnt of my father's death, I dreamt that my maternal grandparents rang our doorbell and came into the house, although I'd NEVER dreamt of them since their deaths decades before. My sister in law has the same kind of dreams and we usually ring each other up and say 'who's for it now'! It's quite a useless 'ability' as we don't know who it'll be and I'd rather not have it at all. I've been told to develop my psychic talent, but don't want anything to do with it! I've also seen an unexplained UFO (it was six transparent shiny balls rotating which I saw clearly from a plane). I've had some other experiences but would rather forget about them.

I am a very spiritual person so many strange things happen, but I don't see them as strange anymore, they just are...
But in your question you say, "Look behind you", that is so funny because my son who has seen and talked to "those that we cannot see" since he was soooo small, he used to say that to people... Look out behind you! He scared some people right out of their chair... lost a lot of friends that way,,, lol
You are right tho.. We are all energy, and depending on the way you use your mind is what you will perceive!

When I was 13 my older sister and I found a Ouija board in the trash we pulled it out and tried it. She touched it first then I put my fingers on and the letter spotter took off. Well we both accused each other of moving the finder.Neither one of us did come to find out when we became older. the letters that were spelled out to us were Zachariah which we found out later was a great-great-great-great-grandfather to us. I've always been to scared to do this again.

well, i know that what i am about to say may seem like i have watched too many movies but, every time i am alone in the house i can hear really creepy noises and they are NOT anything to do with the house e.g.- water pipes, heating....

Only one that stands out in my mind right now:
In church while worshipping, I experienced in my abdominal area the rush of flowing water on one side only. I didn't know what to make of it I just thought this was God's way of letting me know that no one but He could possibly do this and that I was in His Holy presence. What a cleansing feeling that was!
