If you are referring to the 500 witnesses that saw Jesus ascend into heaven, that Biblical account was written when most of those eyewitnesses were still alive and could be interviewed, and their story corroborated. The story of the gospel of Jesus Christ survives today because the accounts could be verified, because it is fact. Jesus was an actual person, that really walked the earth, that lived, died, and was resurrected from the dead, and lives today, praying that people like you would repent and turn to Him so that He can bless you.
Faith does not mean that you must remove your head. It takes a whole lot more faith to believe in nonsense like evolution than it does in a loving God who spoke creation into existence and has stepped into time to live among us and show what true love is. The more you study the Bible, the more you will see that it is true, and that Jesus is True, and that those that say otherwise are liars.

Christians dont understand: Jesus didnt write the bible, so anything that he supposedly said could have been fabricated by the people of his time. anyone that doesnt use thier brain on that is falling into an elaborate trap.
Also, the bible is in third person and not first, meaning that most of it was gossip.

Are you talking about Darwin's 'Origin of Species'? The only reason I can see for people believing that book is a sheeplike tendancy to follow the popular view. They certainly don't believe it on the grounds of good science.
