because He died for ALL mankind; past, present, and future. You were the future, but now the present, soon to be the past.

when Jesus was born, he was planned from the beginning, like in that gospel that starts off: "In the beginning was the word". In the same way, each and every one of us was planned from the beginning. and with meticulous care.
This world is limited, so all the souls that were created, could not fit into it all at once. It had to work its way through to an end. Some souls came before Christ, and to be frank, a great deal of them had no idea about paradise and the fall or even the need to be rescued. Some souls came during Christ, and those souls were extremely blessed to have been able to be so close to that walking miracle. Some souls came afterwards, and that was us. If everyone lived forever, I guess we'd all know the Truth.

Because the Bible says Jesus died for the sins of the world. Past present and future. If he didn't, there would be no christian church. It would only be for the sins up to that point and therefore anyone not alive at that time would be rejected into the family of God, not having their sins cleansed.

Well, after 8 years of Catholic schooling (haha) the way I understand it is that all people are born with original sin, which is as a result of Adam and Eve disobeying God. By his sacrifice, Jesus made is possible for us to move past this state of "original sin" and by accepting Christ as our savior we are saved.

Jesus carried the sin of everything in Himself on the cross. It is partly why God hid him with the non-light. Since God transcends time and space, this act covered all mankind. before & after the crucifition., Accept His free gift of salvatlion.

Jesus paved the way for all MANKIND, He wiped away all of our sins, He knew we were PRONE to make mistakes before We were ever even conceived.
God/ Jesus, know everything we will do or have ever done, before we were ever born.
So God sent His Son, Jesus/ GOD INCARNATE to come and PAVE THE WAY FOR US.
He Died that we do not have to.
Jesus died for all of us, He wiped away sin, even though we are all still sinners, He TOOK AWAY OUR sin, as sin leads to Death...Jesus even beat death.
So will you, all you have to do is to ASK FOR FORGIVENESS AND BELIEVE in HIM.
NEITHER WORKS nor DEEDS, but only the BELIEF in JESUS CHRIST will get you into HEAVEN.

Jesus was sent to Earth by God. (For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son, so that whosoever believes in him will not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16)
And just as the verse above states, he did for you, for those who were alive at the time, for those that will live in the future.
Jesus did die for you, so that the sins we commit can be forgiven. All he asks is that you believe in him and in his grace, so that you may have "everlasting life."

We as humans are stuck in time, whereas God is eternal. He sees the whole of history, beginning to end. And His plan was to come and die to take away the sins of the world, which He did.
And since He raised from the dead, we do not serve a dead anything, but a living, eternal God.

It's called "Figure of Speech".
Jesus was probably a nice good Jewish boy with some decent carpentry skils.
