Please Please Please do not listen to those people who are telling you that you are too skinny and making fun! Its none of their business what, when and how you eat? Its how you feel about yourself..not how others see it. If you want to gain weight though, i suggest you do it the healthy way instead of loading up on junk food. Too much can cause pimples and zits. That would be the teasing and embarrassment all over again don't you think?

The truth is: exercise 'cannot' target fat loss in one area, and weight gain will also 'not' go to just one area. Your body will have a 'tendency' to place weight in certain areas (ie. your hips, buttocks or waist) but weight WILL be added to all your usual spots (including your breasts and face).
IF you want to look more 'meaty' and do something good for your body, then I suggest you start a MODEST 'work out plan'. Creating muscle all over your body will give you that 'meaty look' and as a bonus- strengthen your bones to combat the effects of osteoporosis that affect todays woman like never before. (due to our diets) The key word is modest, and it doesn't mean having to go to the gym. There is so much you can do from the comfort of your own home with resistance bands, dumb-bells and exercise balls, skipping ropes, etc. The end result is a toned, meaty you, not some WWF wrestling babe. If you do work-out to make muscle, speed the process up by consuming some high quality protein (powder or meat)(ask at your local GNC store or health food store about creatine/supplements)
The most important thing is: JUST START NOW.. doing something like calf-raises or lunges and do a bit of research each day on more things to do and you will grow and learn. If you wait to schedule a fitness trainer, or check out gyms, you might loose the ambition.
Weight in the form of fat is pretty much useless, unless you plan on being a 'survivor-man'. Weight in the form of muscle is useful and has benefits of increasing your health.
Hope this helps.

Have you tested your BMI and spoken with a physician? If you are a normal weight for your body type then just ignore them. Trying to bulk up could lead to health complications such as obesity (even if it doesn't LOOK like it, you can still be obese for your body type), diabetes, heart complications, muscle problems, joint issues...etc

Everyone is different and they shouldn't be judging your body type against theirs. I am pretty thin myself but I just pass off comments that I need to gain weight or whatever, its not their business as long as I'm healthy and I am.

However, if you feel you can't stick up for yourself or that you are underweight (please check your BMI however)...you can gain weight by eating lots of carbs (breads, pastas, etc). Don't try to do it with junk foods (candy, doughnuts, mcdonalds...) as that will put unhealthy things into you without necessarily helping to bulk up.
Also, theres no simple way to dictate that the "fat" or "bulk" should go to one part of the body over another...some people add it to thighs first, others to stomach, etc. Personally, my stomach takes it first before anything else but eventually some goes to hips then thighs.

Hope this helps, good luck with your choice (just please try to be healthy and smart about it). Check out the links below for your BMI and an answer to how to gain weight from the army.

First off you can't just gain weight in certain area's, when you gain weight its spread all over your body. I would recommend you go to a local fitness centre, usually you can buy a product called creatine which will help you gain weight, also i would recommend doing some muscle building exercises it will help tone your body and balance out the weight gaining product so you dont add much fat.

I had an uncle that could chug a gallon of Ben and Jerry's ice cream or any other fattening thing you could think about and never gain a pound. He just seemed to have a very fast metabolism, be grateful that you can be skinny, packing around xtra weight is highly overrated and those that are teasing you are just jealous that they can't eat whatever they want and get away with it. Please be happy with how you are, you can't please everyone nor should your try.

Proteins are required for building muscles, so having high protein food like eggs, milk, peanut butter, protein shakes will help you in gaining weight. Starchy foods contain a lot of carbohydrates. You can find more information at http://www.toloseweight.org/gainweight.html
