Rickey Hatton is a fine fighter and there are several more British fighters that come to mind such as Lennox Lewis, Randolph Turpin, John Conteh, and Lloyd Honeyghan but here is the best pound for pound fighter:
Jimmy Wilde "The Little Atom" was undoubtably the greatest British fighter ever. Wins 133 Losses 4 Draws 2 99 kayos during his brilliant career. He is one of the greatest flyweight champions in the history of boxing if not the greatest.

for boxing style and ability, and all round boxer i would have to say Hatton is right up there
but........ Henry cooper should have beat Ali ....... and Ali is one of the greatest boxers ever, so Henry cooper gets my vote.
