My belief is that there was no reason to be there in the first place and what business do we have, sending the National Guard? The casulty numbers are a facilicy.. My wife works in a rehabilitation hospital.. Over 20,000 soldiers have been seriously injured..If this was 20 yrs ago we would have over 15,000 dead. Since we screwed the pooch so to speak..I think either we need to play to win WW2 style or leave.. Anything else is just complete stupidity and makes us look weak. Why would educated people trust GB Jr for military strategy? His father had much more common scence and a strategic mind. GB Jr goes by gut..

There is a plan out there, but I don't know why the White House doesn't want to tell the U.S. what that plan is. In fact, Bush said he refuses to say what the plan is.

Much of the original plan was wait for the Iraqi police and soldiers to be trained and to build about 3,300 infrastructure projects. That plan will be finished in June 2007. The remaining 15% or less of the infrastructure projects will be handed over to the Iraqis to finish.

June 2007 is when things start to pick up. Three of the 18 providences were already handed back to the Iraqi government. The remaining 15 will be handed back over by the end of the second quarter of 2008. The remaining 10 low or non hostile areas will be turned over first leaving the U.S. and allied forces in the 5 hostile providences (including Bagdad). I think sometime in December or January, there is going to be a massive clear and hold project with the Iraqis playing the hold part and the U.S. and allied forces playing the clear part.
