religion is something that gives people a purpose and guide to live life for those who truly seek a purpose in this lifetime some might argue and say that religion is a tool used to control the masses of the opiate and to collect money from people so religion is something different to everybody

Where u learn morals and ethics. Something which gives you codes to live your life as you ought. Something in which u can freely appreciate your creator.

Religion is something like a a help book. God created you and then send down reliegion so that you know what is good for you and what is bad for you. Like a radio maker writes a help book for the radio. Push this button to turn on the radio....... Reliegion is something like that

The English world religion come from sanätana-dharma,(The eternal occupation of the spirit soul, sanatana means eternal and dharma constitutional ocupation). Religion conveys the idea of faith, and faith may change. One may have faith in a particular process, and he may change this faith and adopt another, but sanätana-dharma refers to that activity which cannot be changed. For instance, liquidity cannot be taken from water, nor can heat be taken from fire. Similarly, the eternal function of the eternal living entity cannot be taken from the living entity. Sanätana-dharma is eternally integral with the living entity.
You can see even the atheist they have the tendency and affection to serve and love their family members, because is natural, we have to serve and love something or somebody, that is our natural constitutional position. If we do not love and serve God we have to serve and love the "illusion", in the form of, Country, family, society, friendship and so called love in this world.

ah, good ol wiki

"The etymology of the word "religion" has been debated for centuries. The English word clearly derives from the Latin religio, "reverence (for the gods)" or "conscientiousness". The origins of religio, however, are obscure. Proposed etymological interpretations include:

[edit] From Relego

* Re-reading–from Latin re (again) + lego (in the sense of "read"), referring to the repetition of scripture.
* Treating carefully–from Latin re (again) + lego (in the sense of "choose"–this was the interpretation of Cicero) "go over again" or "consider carefully".

[edit] From Religare

* Re-connection to the divine–from Latin re (again) + ligare (to connect, as in English ligament). This interpretation is favoured by modern scholars such as Tom Harpur, but was made prominent by St. Augustine, following the interpretation of Lactantius.
* To bind or return to bondage–an alternate interpretation of the "reconnection" etymology emphasizing a sense of servitude to God, this may have originated with Augustine. However, the interpretation, while popular with critics of religion, is often considered imprecise and possibly offensive to followers.

[edit] From Res + legere

* Concerning a gathering — from Latin res (ablative re, with regard to) + legere (to gather), since organized religion revolves around a gathering of people."

Its what Man's explanation for things we couldn't figure out back when they we're created. I belive a lot of them are right to a degree and some are wrong to a degree. We'll never know because no one can come back to tell us about these things. Man kind should sit back and do science and keep our relgions and not try to prove the other wrong.

A form of worship.
It includes attitudes, beliefs, and practices.
These may be personal, or they may be advocated by an organization.
Usually religion involves belief in God or in a number of gods; or it treats humans, objects, desires, or forces as objects of worship.
