Try finding the average family size. Then with the total population you can determinate the number of households in the country. You can guess there is at least one refrigerator per household. Maybe some of them are not brand-new but still count as refrigerators.

there's over 13million people in ecuador, then you need to know who have refrigerators plus how many per household. i think your project is insane.
just my mom has 2. my sister has 2, my other sister has only 1 and my grandma has 3 refrigerators. so it all depends on the families and if they can afford one or more or even one...

You are better off finding how many people in Ecuador have electricity and drilling down from there.
