Dear Gasp:
I have looked into Buddhism, some areas of VedanticThought
( Ayurvedic Healing which is part of Hindu) Hindu, Islam, and Christianity. After 26 years of spiritual study, I came to know Jesus. Not inside the New Testament - but, personally ; my Teacher, my Brother. Who is He? :
". . . .You knew him in the way one says of a man: I knew him in the old days. . .He shed unique tears over you. . . You saw the color of his eyes, you heard the sound of his words. Of the same lineage [mankind]. . ." Excerpt from Charles Pequy
"Who do you say I am?" And Peter answered, "The Son of God." The son of God and the son of Man. Brought thru into the earth plane by man and yet, as all of us, a holy son of God -simultaneously.
"We should experience awe only in the presence of the Creator of Perfection. Equals should not be in awe of one another, because that would imply inequality. It is therefore, an inappropriate reaction to me. An elder brother is entitled to respect for his greater experience, and obedience for his greater wisdom. He is also entitled to love because he is a brother, and to devotion - if he is devoted. It is only my devotion that entitles me to yours. There is nothing about me that you cannot attain. I have nothing that does not come from God. The difference between us now is that I have nothing else. This leaves me in a state which is only potential in you." Quote is from "A Course in Miracles"
"The name of Jesus is the name of one who was a man, but saw the face of Christ (the Christos - a messenger ; from Greek) in ALL his brothers and remembered God. So, he became identified with Christ. . .at one with God. . . .He saw the false without accepting it as true. In his complete identification with the Christ - the perfect son of God, His one creation and His happiness, . . . Jesus became what all of you must be. He led the way for you to follow him. He offered you a final demonstration that it is impossible to kill God's son; nor can his life in any way be changed by error and evil, malice, fear, or death. Is he the Christ? O yes, along with you. His little life on earth was not enough to teach all that he learned for you. He will remain with you to lead you from the hell you have made to God."
"Is he the only Teacher? No. The Christ takes many forms with different names until their oneness can be recognized." Jesus, however, carried (added) a singular message, a unique message from the others: The love of God. A personal, intimate God with feelings (NOT human feeling and emotion) but feelings of steadfast love, Intelligence of Purpose, the ecstatic impulse of ceaseless Creation, and Peacefulness in One-ness. He contains the Godly emotions of Ecstasy, Boundless-ness, Unlimitedness, and feels always Unopposed. His Thoughts are abstract in that He Knows His Creations and "sees" them as One. Equal in their sameness. His Divine Love is pulsed through His Creations -as One- within Himself.
This is the God, the "Abba" Jesus spoke of. He is Intimate. He is our Intimacy of Mind.
Best regards, Lana

Jesus is the Messiah. The Savior of the world.
He said "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life." John 5:24
"But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." John 20:31

That is the exact same question Jesus asked his apostles.
Mark 8:27-29 "Jesus began questioning his disciples, saying to them: “Who are men saying that I am?” They said to him: “John the Baptist, and others, E·li′jah, still others, One of the prophets.” And he put the question to them: “YOU, though, who do YOU say I am?” In answer Peter said to him: “You are the Christ.”
I happen to agree with Peter.
Jesus is the one prophesied to come and get mankind out of its troubles.
The promised messiah.

Jesus (pbuh) was son of Mary and God's messenger!
But it will be nice, if the people show respect to the prophets and ask some respectable question.
