Righteous indignation?
Actually - the above answers are wrong.
Vegans eat only plant products. Vegetarians eat animal products - but not animal flesh - i.e. they eat milk, cheese, eggs, etc.
Some Vegans will not wear or use animal products either.

A vegan eats no animal by-products at all. So nothing that even comes from an animal, such as milk, cheese, and eggs. a vegetarian will eat the by-products but not the meat. The real question is what is meat? because it tends to differ between vegetarians. All won't eat steak, most won't eat chicken, or poultry, and some won't eat fish. So to me, a true vegetarian won't eat the meat of any animal, little fishy included.

Vegetarians, or lacto-ovo-vegetarians, do not eat any meat products, but they eat dairy products and eggs. Vegetarians need to know whether a product contains gelatine or other meat-based products. Vegans do not consume any animal products.
