I can feel the ABS pressing against the pedal sometimes, This is happening even during normal breaking, does anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this?, thanks. Ken

nothing wrong with your discs or pads, you have a faulty abs sensor, this will need a diagnostics check to see which one is at fault

I think diagnostics makes some vehicles cycle their ABS systems. I have noticed this on GM vehicles once in a while. You figure that ABS has to work in emergency , but if it doesnt work once in a while, the parts sieze up. But it is possible that if you have this going on all the time, you might have a defect in the sensors which I think are located in your hubs. If it is only happenning once in a blue moon, I wouldn't worry about it too much, just be prepared to put your brakes on...press down or if necessary put your car in neutral and use emergency brake in case of an emergency. I found that the ABS cycling happens every so many miles when the car is stopped. It is scary though. Probably helps your brake parts move around too. But yeah...they don't prepare you for such things do they? There is so much to learn in life. But that's just my guess.

Its actually warped discs. Caused by braking too hard and too often. It normally starts after you've driven through a puddle and water has got on to the redhot discs. I suspect you're a boy racer or a rep. All you've got to do is slow down a bit. Its less expensive...and dangerous!.

warped brakes. you cannot feel teh abs on the pedal..its an illusion... the pulsing is caused by warped disks... stop driving so fast, and braking so hard...

my brother is a boy racer... he get this all teh time, and probably goes thru 2 sets of disks and pads a year... mind you he does in excess of 40 thousand miles a year...

Faulty ABS sensor or the actual brakes themselves.

Have it check at a garage pretty soon, brakes are not something you can chance.
