when i drink soda ill have a big hicup when i take my first gulp, i think its from the carbonation, but i expect t to happen , does this happen to anyone else?

Ohhh...finally someone with the same problem as me!
I do that too!
Hiccups are a spasm in the diaphragm, caused by even a tiny irritation. I can only imagine that the carbonation irritates the diaphragm upon entering the stomach.
It especially happens to me if I am eating something spicy then take a sip.

I do sometimes if it seems like it has a lot of carbonation in it . Really embarrassing.
