zits keep on popping up while i'm using proactive. i only use it at night, and on mornings, i just use soap since i dont have much time to use it. i've been using it for like 2 months and acne is still there. if i ha to rate it before, id say it'll be like a 6. and now, its like a 4. wat should i do? i'm just 12.

Use it at morning and night! If you really don't want zits, then you should take the time to wash your face in the morning, too. Think of it this way- would you rather spend 5 extra minutes washing your face or have more zits?

Keep using it. I believe the way Proactive works is that it brings out the acne (bacteria you already have) and then clears it up. Not fun to live through, but in the long run you might be happy with the results.

What I'm thinking is that it may be drying out your skin. BTW, I am 12 also, but I know alot about acne.
When you use acne treatments, they sometimes dry out your skin too much. Your skin makes more oil to moisten your skin, which clogs your pores. Which makes more pimples, blackheads, etc.
If its still not working for you after 2 months, drop it.

Maybe you are allergic to something in the chemicals. That or provactive is fake. Relize how Jessica Simpson does all their ads. When they show pics of her she was like 19 or 20 and had acne at that age. Now she's about what 30 something and she doesnt have acne cuz older!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Think twice about buying products off of tv!

Honey DONT use proactiv i tried it, it just gets more pimples!!
Clean your face 3 times a day, don't put make-up(It might ruin your skin) just don't use proactive i think i have allergies 4 it & maybe you do too!!

i used proactiv..to tell you the truth its just a bunch of stuff that eats you $$$ :) well @ least it didnt work for me but i went 2 a face doctor and now i have clear skin you might want 2 get somethin from the doctor thats made for your kinda skin ok??

i'm also 12...i use "Acne Free" and that works very well for me...it's like $15 for about a 2-3 month supply!

Nu Skin has a product that will help with your breakouts and will not dry your skin out at all. It is very effective on blackheads, red skin, and there aren’t any shiny effects.
It's awesome! My skin changes all the time and I still never have a problem.

Keep using it and stay vigilant. There is no magic cure all to wipe it out instantly. Ignore any ignorant comments from your peers, I know from experience that they can be cruel b*stards. Don't let them get to you and don't give them the satisfaction of seeing you get upset or angry. I've been there done that, they will get theirs in the end. Also ask your parents to take you to a dermatologist. Peace.
