I LOVE DOBIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

I dont have one... YET! I dont have the space or the money for one, but as soon as I do Im gonna get a male.

I love them because they are soooooooooooo affectionate!!!! The term "velcro dog" really fits them. I think it sad they have such a bad rap, Because I have NEVER seen a more LOYAL breed in my entire life!

I love the Protective instinct. It seems to be perfectly balanced. You can trust them with your kid, friends, family, even those you just met and they will be fine, but if they ever even TRY to hurt you, BAM, your dobie is on it! And they can be QUITE convincing!!! After all, they are the ONLY breed specificly bred for personal protection.

They are also very very intelligent. They can be trained to do ANYTHING. I even know a guy, that attended hunting field trials with his 2 dobermans, AND placed toward the top often. They are great Therapy Dogs, Schutzhund, hearding (believe it or not), Search and rescue and more! They are also the BEST at companionship. (But they need a job to do or they can get bored or aggressive, Sorry, had to add that for others who might read this!)

I also love thier attitude. This is where the OWNER usually gets in trouble. Alot of people dont realize that if you dont take ABSOLUTE control over your dobe, then your dobe will control you. They have to know that YOU are in charge, period. I love that strong personality. BUT, I can handle it also. Every dog I have ever had KNEW I was in charge.

I like a lot of different dogs, but I am currently the owner of two miniature, short-haired, black and tan dachshunds. I have had pets all my life, both cats and dogs, and there is just something very unique and endearing about dachshunds. Maybe because they will always be little (they weigh 10 and 11 lbs.), they appear very puppy-like. They are definitely clowns. I love them dearly.

My favorite is dachshunds also. I had a male named Brandy for 10 years then I had a female named Ginger for 13 years. I sure do miss those little cuties.

I would say mine is a great dane :) they are big and cute and they are giant couch potatoes. They enjoy when they are out to get some excerise but in the house they think they are Giant lap dogs and are great with kids!! their personalities are like big babies. They are nicknamed the Gentle Giants for a reason :) I also have a fondness for German Shepherds, They are loyal, protective, smart,and great with kids.

CHIHUAHUA!! [Ok, this is just MY personal view!]

Chi's are Very Smart. Very Loyal. [act] Very Tough ;-P. Low Excercise [I play fetch with a small ball, IN the house!] VERY HUMAN LIKE. Incredible.
I hated small 'yappy' dogs, but had a Chi 'grow on me' and bought one. I now own Two and have had a total of Four in my time. They Never cease to amaze me! BUT they are MORE than a dog, you need to have a hell of a lot of LOVE and Time to give. This isnt a breed you can ever 'throw' in the yard and forget!
But they will LOVE YOU UNBELIEVABLY AND UNCONDITIONALY. Its amazing how my girl tries to 'Protect' me. - u soon realise thats the only time they 'yap' ..its for you. to 'Save' you. thats all. they dont do it all the time. just when they care/worry for you. BEST BREED IVE OWNED and Ive owned many! [dalmation, german shepherd, tibetan spaniel, rotti x labrador, maltese...]
BUT again, they must suit your lifestyle! they need a predominantly at home [or happy to take them Everywhere ;-P] kind of person.. :-)

Without a doubt a Mastiff! They are wonderful dogs. They are gentle giants, they love kids, and they become apart of the family. They are protective of their families and will do anything to protect and watch over you. Mastiffs are bred to protect. If a family member is attacked... the mastiff will knock the threat over and hold him down until their master tells them to stop. Seriously...it dosn't get better than that lol.

When I was a child I had an accident and broke my ankle. My mastiff layed down with his head on my ankle and looked at me with those big brown eyes. If anyone came near me he got defensive and acted like he would rip them to shreads lol.. he stayed with me until help arrived... I loved that dog!

I LOVE golden retrievers. They're so cute, loyal, obedient, and they're a great family dog. I also like Nova Scotian Duck Tolling retreivers, Bermese mountain dogs, Great Pyranesse and bearded collies.

The dachshund is by utilising effective the cutest by utilising a strategies. they get a bad recognition with the aid of fact some people think of they are snappy. that is purely like a pit, that is no longer the way they are continually, its the way you improve them! anyhow, my 2 dachshunds are so loving, nicely mannered, and learn so very rapid. I surely have 2 distinctive forms of the dachshund, a mini tender haired, and a usual twine-haired, so i've got seen all angles of the Dachshund character and that i might in no way prefer the different kind of canines.

My fav has to be either English Springer Spaniel or a Flat Coated Retriever. I own a springer and know for a fact they have a lovely temprement and can be worked or shown. They are eager to please and are beautiful. Flat Coats are great and have basically the same qualities as the springer.
