you should sue them, b/c they should have had been more responsible and given her the correct order, and being busy is no excuse, it was a life or death situation. also the companies should put in bold letters that PEANUTS/NUTS are in this product

some hypersensitive reactions are not as extreme as others commonly. Peanuts may reason extreme anaphylaxis in various human beings and not in any respect merely youngsters. (Does the preschool want to be held responsible for having some thing which will deliver a pupil to the health center in a existence-threatening state? i imagine no longer, so that is sensible on their area.) I developed extreme hypersensitive reaction to peanuts and tree nuts at age 30. I actually have man or woman acquaintances who've been allergic for years, and now that the equipment labelling is getting extra effective than it become years in the past, it makes issues so a lot extra reachable. earlier this, human beings were merely left out of eating issues in the adventure that they did not recognize what become really in it. that is very puzzling for children to appreciate, more advantageous than for adults. some manufacturers of chocolate chips ARE nut contaminated, which contain nestle.

The peanut contamination probably came from the factory that made the flour for the doughnut, not the store.
As for banning it, if everything that people were allergic to was banned in public shops NOTHING would be sold.
You need to check their menu/notice boards.
There you should find a notice warning of possible peanut traces.
If it's there then they are covered, if not they are in trouble.

Yes, it was a stupid mistake that never should have happend on the stores part. Most place are catching up with the times nowadays and are beginning to post written warnings that allergenic substance like peanuts and milk are sometimes used in their place of business like this, mostly to cover them selves legally in case something like what you described happens.

i think if peanut products are there, they should be labeled as such,,,,, and signs up warning people, sometimes its peanut oil used in cooking that causes a problem,,,, and for people with severe allergies, even touching something with peanuts,,, then touching what you are serving them,,, using tongs for both etc, can cause a serious reaction....... i had heard of this,,,, but really experienced it with salt, when my mom was on a salt free diet, would order french fries salt free, and they would cook them that way, but dump them in a bin where they had been salting fries, and use the same tongs,,,,, thats all it takes to contaminate the supposedly pure product,,,,,

yes i do think that food in places like that should be allowed as long as they tell you all the ingredents that are involved. What the coffie shop did (giving your sister the wroung cookie) was rerally wroung. if i were you I would go back to the coffie places and talk to the manager. the person that messed up your order could get fired or in trouble

you can be angry but why not ban pineapples and cocoanut and chocalate too i know people allergic to all of those and gosh how dare they have penicillian in a hospital im allergic to it so lets ban that too just because your sister is allergic to peanuts dont mean that everyone else should have to suffer just because she didnt check the ingredients its her responsiblity if shes old enough to read if not then its yours or your parents responsiblity or you could have "allergic to peanut products " tattooed across her forhead as a warning

As long as humans are around, mistakes are going to happen. The peanut industry is making money and they are not going to stop producing peanuts, oil, etc. As long as they have customers/retailers buying their product(s) they are going to sell it.

Yes they should be allowed how ridiculous would that be if they were outlawed?? They should however be held accountable for making the mistake of giving someone one with peanuts which in turn caused a anaphylatic reaction.

I am Canadian, this particular shop has signs saying that ALL their products contain allergens. My son's friend has a peanut allergy and he is not allowed anything from there.
