I paint with acrylics on medium to large sized canvases. They're good paintings, not really of anything, just whatever comes to mind. So my question is how much would the average person pay for a modernish art piece? I just wanna know if I should start to sell my work or just leave it as is.

There are some really cool ways to sell art now days. Here are some places you could post your art, and price them moderately. At least get two times the cost of the materials. If you get famous, remember me.

Take photos of your work (slides usually) and submit them to art galleries. If there aren't any in your area, look some up online, or in magazines like Art Forum or American Artist.
