I get a pain in the back everytime i inhale air. The pain is on te left hand side and about half way between my hip and shoulder.
The pain isnt too serious but annoying.

Anyone know what it is?

Could be pluresy...
I've had it and it feels like someone is ripping your lugs apart with a rusty knife.

go and see a doctor before it gets worse.

Hmm seems like it maybe one of two things..... one something may be irratating your side if u've had a bruise on that side after checking.... it may fluid in the lungs as you inhale liquid will make it hurt like if you swallowed juice an it "went down the wrong pipe" or it could be a kidney stone coming on that is something you don't want to wait til it hurts really bad the best thing to do is without haste go get examined ....... if breathing pain doesnt exceed try laying down (if no insurance) if pain goes away it may jus be fluid in the lung hopefully this helps pain may go away but if not U may have no choice but to proceed to the doctor or clinic

Most likely is either a pulled muscle or nerve being irritated. I had the same problem after a car wreck. But mine was so bad I had to have injections to kill the nerves in that area. It's nothing serious though. As long as the pain isn't bothering you that is. Stretching can help it go away.

Stop inhaling air, you may find this feels awkward but it soon stops and you get to look at a pice of wood for ages, its the inside of a coffin lid.
You big arce, go see a doc, or leave it alone, only you can decide..........

Not being a doctor I can't say what it is. But it doesn't sound good. Could be lungs or even heart problem. The best thing for you is too see a doctor before it get worst.

it sounds very much like a lung infection - probably a virus of some sort. you should get it checked out, though

Ribs maybe? Cracked ribs are apparently very painful when breathing in & out....
