Natural Quit Smoking Magic

Smoking causes a lot of staining to your teeth and nails, as well as causing prematuring aging to areas such as skin and gums. If you were a smoker, this is probably the reason for the stains on your teeth.

Crest Whitestrips are excellent - they are really economical and effective if you're on a budget. I recommend starting off slowly, use one every other day to start (despite what he instructions say) because many people do experience that their teeth hurt when they first try this stuff. If this doesn't work, you need to go to the dentist. Also get a whitening toothpaste, and avoid things like soda and coffee which can stain your teeth as well.

Congrats on quitting smoking!!! Hard habit to quit. Things that will help is brushing at least three times a day with a whitening toothpaste, they now also sell teeth whitening mouth wash, make sure you brush after you drink coffee or tea--these both stain teeth a lot, and try a tooth whitening kit--crest has some pretty good ones out now.

quit smoking that's one tip... next always keep ytour teeth, floss, use sulcabrush and other interproximal brushes so that you teeth will be free from plaque and cavities...
>next buy a whitening toothpaste, and over the counter whitening so that your teeth will whiten... my teeth are kinda yellow too and i use over the counter whitening and it's effective... it's about 4-8 shades lighter... but if you really want to make it white then ask your dentist to whiten it with a professional whitening agent and they're going to put a light on it...
>sometimes it's just because of aging, use of antibiotics, smoking, and genetic...
> after you whiten your teeth as much as possible stay away from stains... like coffee, tea, hot choco and any foods that contains artificial flavour... and use sensodyne so that you will not feel sensitive on the area that it being treated.

People naturally have teeth of different shads of white. We are not all born with pearly white teeth, no matter what the entertainment industry wants you to believe.

Talk to your dentist about different options. I would stay away from bleaching though, it messes up your enamel and will cause problems later in life. And don't even bother spending money on over the counter stuff, they don't work and you might as well just save it for a professional whitening by your dentist.

First, congratulations....you did yourself a great service. Get a whiting toothpaste, almost any brand will do, or use straight baking soda. The best tool to use I have found is Crest White strips. It whitens teeth quickly and safely. You can see a difference in about one week. Stay away from the smoke...and not just for your teeth.

You recently quited smoking, so your teeth need to go back to a normal color so it would help if you brush your teeth 2 or 3 times a week and mouth wash after every brush

you can try whitening gels like you find at the grocery or for a faster result you can go to the dentist and a professional hygienist can do this for you. The key is don't start smoking again. I happen to know that after whitening of teeth they are much more sensitive to stains such as from cigarettes. Can be worse than before whitening quickly.

hi,,,,,,,teeth discoloured due to tea, coffee or tobacco are due to extrinsic staining,i.e., the teeth are stained from the outside,,,,...............
since the stain is from the outside, it can be removed easily....apart from this, the common cause of discolouration of teeth is Calculus, which is formed over the teeth due to improper cleaning (brushing) habits. Calculus is harmful to the gingival health and to general health also.

u have to visit a dentist for a procedure called SCALING which will remove all the superficial calculus and stains from ur teeth,,,,,if the stains persist, u will have to go for polishing also....,....scaling and polishing would normally cost u around 300-500 bucks in a city or a posh dental hospital........Rural dentists woud charge u Rs.250 for the same.....the cost varies in different places though........

an advanced procedure called BLEACHING is also adviced if the stains are tough and are causing much trouble,,,,,,,this procedure uses chemicals to bleach the tooth surface and give a whiter shade,,,,,,this is not a routine procedure and is slighltly expensive but the results are good and longstanding,,,,,,,,it may cost u about 1500-3000 bucks for bleaching,,,,,,again the cost may vary depending on where u are and whoz performing the procedure,,,,,,,,,,,

if u need any home remedy,,,,,,,sorry,,there is not much help available at home,,,,,,,
try using a good toothbrush and paste and use them atleast twice daily,,,,,,,,,,nevertheless these are only preventive measures and not corrective,,,,,

good luck,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I work with people on television. They are always worried about their looks...they have their teeth professionally cleaned by a dentist every 6 months and use a whitening tooth paste, and if they drink coffee, tea or any "staining drinks" they use a straw. They very rarely if never use the harsh whiteners. congratulations on quiting smoking.
