Nicky Clarke Flexi-Stylers?

I recently bought some Nicky Clarke prefessional flexi-stylers to curl my (just past shoulders,medium thickness) hair. But found the instruuctions to be vague and pretty much useless and was unsucsessfull in curling my hair. I was unsure on how to keep the hair in place and the stylers kept falling out. Anyone got any tips or ideas?

I have these... They aren't great I'm sorry to report, but because they're rubber your hair won;t fall out if you do it right... Just curl your hair round them from the bottom up and twist the curls into an X kind of shape, crossing over each other.
