It really depends on the brand of bread and the type of wheat bread. White bread basically turns into sugar in your body, which can then be used for energy or will turn into fat. Whole wheat bread has more fiber. Fiber grams are carbohydrate grams but do not turn into sugar or fat. They mostly help you feel full and keep you "regular." Whole wheat bread is generally better for your health than white bread.
