Same day if the property is available and the landlord's happy with you. If moving out it the notice required should be specified in any tenancy agreement. In the absence of any agreement it's reasonable to assume the notice period required is the same as the frequency with which you pay rent: so one week's notice should be sufficient if you pay rent weekly, etc.

It depends on how long the reference checks take. The landlord will typically do a credit check, employment check, and previous tenancy check. If there are no problems performing the checks, they will typically take about a week to 10 days once you sign the forms agreeing to the checks.
Once the checks are done, you will get the keys and sign the tenancy agreement on the day you you are allowed to move in. You will start paying rent from this day but how long it takes you to move in is up to you.

Depends how big it is. If it's huge then it'll take you a long time to move about in it.

I suspect that your badly worded question is about how long it takes before you gain the keys. It depends on the landlord or letting agent. They may do a credit check on you to see if you're good for the rent. If that's the case it could take a week. Otherwise, a day or so would be normal.
