how do they put the caramel in the caremilk bar?

There are only a few practical ways to get a filling inside a chocolate treat. The first and most common is to form the center part (like the caramel) into the shape needed and then to enrobe it in chocolate by running the centers on a conveyor belt through a waterfall of melted chocolate.

The others would not work for caramel. They include squirting it in like the syrup in chocolate-covered cherries and extruding it like those pretzel sticks with filling.
