Yes, Seroquel can and will make you sleepy.
The most common side effects are dry mouth, drowsiness, sedation, dizziness, weakness, constipation, abdominal pain, sudden drop in blood pressure when standing, sore throat, weight gain, abnormal liver tests, upset stomach, and lethargy.

Yes, definitely, although more so in some people than others. Doctors do prescribe it for insomnia sometimes. For me it is prescribed for that as well as other bipolar symptoms and I've done well taking a small dose about 2 hours before I want to sleep. I've been on it for maybe 4 or 5 years and take usually 100 mg at night. It still is effective, this is the best I have ever slept in my whole life and I don't wake up groggy from it.

i did not have this journey with Seroquel. One 100mg dose of Seroquel and that i had worse hallucinations than i became already experiencing. So I had to be taken precise off of this drug straight away. yet when you're having panic and rigidity attacks with Seroquel, i ought to enable the physician recognize. He/she may be able to regulate the dose or replace the drugs. I wish you best of luck.

Yeah its going to make you sleepy, the obvious thing to do is take it about 30 minutes before you plan on going to bed. I kind of liked it, it gave me very deep relaxing sleep.
As far as it being a strange RX it does have its side effects and will make you feel very foggy sometimes but it helps with whatever it is prescribed to and you won't have to take it forever (hopefully).

It depends on the dosage, and it will when you first start taking it. I take 400 at night...knocks me right out. Three times a day, I take 100, and it doesn't make me sleepy at all.

Yes. Very, very, very sleepy. In fact, that's what it is sometimes specifically prescribed for. A common off-label usage is to treat insomnia.
That's what I use it for. It works rapidly, and keeps me asleep, usually without a "hangover".

Oh my goodness, YES! I could only take it for a short time, because of that. And, it affected my blood sugar. Very strange rx.

a friend of mine was prescribed these and he also only took them for two days as in his words "they wiped me out " he said he could not function properly and stopped taking them. not something I'd like to be given as i like to be in control of my actions and functions. hope you have more luck than he did with them.
