For a few months, I've had light pains in my lower stomach on one side. (Like next to my hip) When I sneeze, cough, or laugh, I get severe pain in that area. I'm going to the doctor this week but I'm wondering what this can be? Thanks

It could be anything. I agree with the rest of the answers. You won't know for sure unless you go to the doctor.

Are you a female? It could be your ovaries, Intestine Blockage, Appendex, Gallbladder, Pulled Muscle, Hernia...

These are just all ideas..only a doctor can tell. Try drinking water and some good fruits and veggies..You could just be constipated too. You should have two bowel movements a day.

Stomach pain or bellyache may be caused due to a problem in the organs in the abdominal region. The main organs in the abdomen are the digestive system consisting of the stomach, small and large intestines, the liver, the gall bladder , pancreas, the appendix and the kidney. Possibly gall bladder... Is it worse after eating especially fatty foods? They can ultrasound you to check for gallstones or sludge in there. ANy family history of gall stones?

Also agree, possible hernia or pulled abdominal muscle.
