My friend is 41..His new rebound (from marriage) girl friend is 18 and the daughter of a neighbor..This is an area with 1MM+ homes. My niehbor thinks I am in league with my friend and set them up (they now think that I am a "bad person")..when in actuality they met independently of me.. I think this is wrong.. She is a "young" 18 not a very developed adult..Should I just bud out and let it happen or should i talk some sence into my friend and break it up?

Cease your involvement. Your neighbor is behaving irrationally. Take that as a sign you don't need a neighbor like that. Let the 18-41 relationship follow its course.

Terrible sounding situation. The girl is 1) rebound, 2) 18, and 3) a very immature person. I am not sure that you should interfere or that it would accomplish anything but trouble if you did; I would perhaps rethink my friendship with such a man though. Otherwise, I would butt out.

She( the gf) is capable of making her own mind. As for her parents, they should realise that it takes two ppl to make a relationship and their daughter has decided to date a 41 yr old. If your friend is happy, be there for him.

I am 53yrs young and going with a woman who is 23yrs old!!! The decision should rest on the two people in the relationship!! I wish them much happiness!! What other people think, say or do is meaningless!!!

This 18 yr. old has a whole life ahead of her.. and needs to go through a lot of growing which this 41 year old will understand. I think it won't work and if it does.. in twenty years she will be in her formative yrs. and he will be retiring and slowing down.. There are more 41 yr. old women out there who are in his situation.. He needs to find someone closer in age.. Maybe he's trying to show his exwife.. he still has it.. but dating this younger girl.. Her father should have a talk with this guy who is probably the same age as her father.

to me its just weird if the couple is more than 10 years apart, but i know ppl that are 30 yrs apart and 15 years apart, i guess whatever floats their boat i guess, it is legal now that she is 18.

thats a pretty big difference i think if two ppl are over 10 yrs apart that is just wrong but if they are in love then thats great for them. see if shes actually IN LOVE with him not thats she just LOVES him.

Well 18 is definitely too young, she hasn't experienced in going out and having fun yet and would not want to be tied down especially seeing how she isn't even old enough to buy alcohol. I Would just let him find out on his own you can suggest all this to him because in the long run it would not work out..

Not sure how you "bud" out unless you are about to flower. The age difference will wear out...and then you can have your chance with the neighbor.
