A button was visible on the MS Word files of my computer and whenever I pressed that button I was able to change the MS Word files and the changes and additions and deletions were visible in the MS Word files.

Unfortunately, my computer is out of order and I have to edit an urgent file. So, I have come to a cafe. When I open the MS Word file, I don't see any button or icon on the screen which should be pressed to effect the changes which could be visible in different colors.

How and where can I find the button to activate the Track Changes command?

The Track Changes (TRK) button is on the Status bar at the bottom of the screen, so it sound like the Status bar is not showing on the cafe computer. You can make it show by clicking on the Tools menu and choosing Options. Put a tick in front of Status bar, which is in the first group under View.

When the Track Changes feature is enabled, TRK appears on the status bar at the bottom of your document. When you turn off change tracking, TRK is dimmed.
