im in taiwan, and the parents here are so "old-fashioned"
they dont let my cousin, who's 12, have a bf and stuff
is 12 really al that early? dont exactly think so
and why do they have this kind of though in their minds?
i believe having pre-teen relationships is preparing for more mature, serious relationships in the future o.O
haha i sound all scientific and stuff...EW

none of that prepares you for nothing. all it does is disappoint people. 12 is way to young to even think about a girl friend. at least live your life. 12 is still a kid. you arent even ready for mature situations. if you get pregnant at 12, then what. if you get an std at 12 then what. have fun being a kid and later on, at least 16 then go to trying to have mature relationships. there is nothing wrong with having friends but way to young for a relationship.

i agree with u that it helps prepare 4 more mature relationships. im the same im in the uk my parents wouldnt let me have a bf i finally found a nice guy hu liked me and my parents finally aproved (im 16) and yes i dont really know 2 much about how 2 act wat 2 do due 2 lack of experience i hope all goes well try telling them that she needs to learn whats 2 come out of kiddie relationships so she is prepared for the mature 1s so she dont rush into things.. gd luck 1nce again.

I don't think having a guy is young, Kissing can be as young as 12 - 14 maybe but have sex and all that stuff is young unless it's a country thing.

Your cousin could have friends that are boys...and hopefully close to your cousin's age. Everything that one does in life is preparing you for the next big event in your life.
