Ive been sick lately and producing alot of phlegm and mucus (gross I know), is alright to have butter and not end up with producing even more? I know its a dairy product, but it seems different than most dairy products....I miss butter on my toast :(!!

I am a musician and the only things that were ruled out before a performance was milk and cheese. I have never heard of not being able to have butter. I would stay clear of the milk and cheese, but i don't see a need to stay clear of butter.

You're right, dairy products exacerbate this situation....but it's not going to kill you. How about put as little butter on the toast as you can use to make it tasty.

I don't know why you couln't put butter on your toast. See a doctor about all the mucus unless you already know what's causing it
