As someone who decided many years ago to seek a spiritual path rather than a religious one, I was attracted to your post. God's creation IS all around us, but I do believe that the bible is the inspired word of God. Even so, I believe that even the bible is simply another pathway to God.

If God is in your heart and your soul, I would say that you're on pretty solid footing. God bless you...

The apostle Paul writes, “And every day the Lord added to their group those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:47) When the Sanhedrin were contemplating what to do with the apostles Gamaliel gave sound advice: If what they have planned and done is of human origin, it will disappear, but if it comes from God, you cannot possibly defeat them. You could find yourselves fighting against God! (Acts 5:38-39) Roman Catholicism not only is the dominant religion of the world; scripture also assures that Christ’s Church will not become (dogmatically) corrupt (Ephesians 5:27 & Mt 16:17-19).

Jesus Christ only lived 33 years, never went more than 30 miles from his home, never wrote a book, never was on tv, never made a cd or any multimedia source and YET

-- Jesus Christ has influenced the world more than any person;

-- Jesus Christ's existence separates history (ac or bc);

-- Jesus Christ has more books written about him than any person in history;

-- Jesus Christ is the Ruler of the largest religion in the world;

-- Jesus Christ had 11 apostles and numerous martyrs die excruciating deaths believing in the Messiah, the Son of God;

-- Jesus Christ as the promised messiah fulfilled over 300 prophesies in the Old Testament. Just fulfilling 50 makes the odds of doing so 10X135 power, an astronomical number. No human being has ever fulfilled so many prophesies about them, not even Moses!

In short, Jesus Christ has accomplished things NO OTHER HUMAN BEING HAS DONE in the entire history of mankind. If anyone thinks Jesus Christ is JUST A GOOD TEACHER they are very unrealistic by making such a huge understatement.

The Bible is a gift from God, one for which we can be truly grateful. This unique book reveals things that we could never find out otherwise. For example, it tells us about the creation of the starry heavens, the earth, and the first man and woman. The Bible contains reliable principles to help us cope with life’s problems and anxieties. It explains how God will fulfill his purpose and bring about better conditions on the earth. What an exciting gift the Bible is!

Oh, I see. Nature is so beautiful and complex that only God could have created it. No. Study some science, look things up before you decide to use God to fill in the gaps in your knowledge. Do you know what a snowflake is, how it is formed, why each one is different? Because that information is out there, and it doesn't have anything to do with religion.

Your point is valid.
The universe screams out 'design' and for design, there must be a designer.
However, if you lived just before the flood, would you have gone in the Ark.
Or, would you have said:
"I don't need no boat to save me."
That 'boat' symbolizes God's organization on earth, today.
Find out where the 'boat' is and jump in.
P.S.
Don't confuse Christianity with Christendom.

Religions tend to get formed to draw a group of people together to have a place to worship and/or try to understand God as they find it in their lives. Because they are in religion does not preclude them from learning of God through nature.

You have partially answered your own question. However you must *see* with your heart. When the Holy Spirit touched you, believe me you will know it beyound a shadow of a doubt. religion was made by man and mans traditions, and the ONLY way to follow Christ is to be a Christ- Man. (no gender intended)

While creation is definately proof of God, it doesnt reveal much about him except his power. You are making a drastic mistake assuming that God has not revealed himself to mankind. God HAS revealed himself through his son, Jesus Christ. And until you start believing in him, your superficial acceptance of God will not help you or anybody else.

You have your free will, use it wisely.

I do not like religions. I follow Jesus. I believe that the Bible is true and reliable. It is inspired Word of God , written by humans with human characteristics.

Well if you feel it in your heart it must be true!

However... Peter Sutcliffe 'the Yorkshire ripper' was jailed for murdering women and said that Jesus had clearly told him to. Yet, Jesus was not called to the stand to answer for conspiracy to murder charges.

You'd be better off learning about science. If nothing else you should learn that not everything that looks designed, is. Darwin proved that over 140 years ago.
