guard it, but don't touch it, if the mother is still there.

I'd like to find whoever did it, get somthing of theres that's important to them and smash it to pieces right in front of them. Not laughing now your brand new Play Station is in bits.
I would serriously find out the names and adresses and report them or at least go round and tell thier parents. as for the eggs, if the mother has not returned already then she probably won't, the eggs need to be incubated as soon as possible. They will be ok under a light bulb for a short time, make sure the temprature is about 37 degrees C, and get in contact with a wildlife rescue agency to take them and look after them properly as soon as possible.

Do you mean they busted all the eggs but one .If that is the case if she hadn't started setting them yet .Clean all the old shells from the broken eggs out and hopefully she will start laying more eggs to fill her nest up .Ducks will lay one egg a day in a nest until they get a full nest before they start setting them to hatch .if it wasn't a full nest she may try to fill it again .If she had started to set them .She probably wont set one egg and it would be best to take it out so she will lay another hatch .Chances are ,if she was setting them the kids probably scared her off it for to long and it wouldn't hatch a healthy chick ,after it is cold for to long. Its best if she was setting them to take the egg and try to incubate it yourself and hope she fills the nest again .

You need to report the teenager that did it. If you live in the US you need to inform US Department of Fish and Wildlife service, as this is against the law. Confront the teenager and tell him you will have him arrested if he goes near the nest.

Beat the crap out of those teenagers. Make sure the nests are in a protected site where the mother has access to it.

I would call your DEC. I'm sure they can help and maybe arrest the teenagers.
