Hi there. I have recenlty copied some video camera footage onto a DOuble-layer-DVD+R and was wondering if that will work on a DVD player that says it is DVD+R compatible????

Yes, the disc should have no problems, as long as the content is playable by your player. That is, is it a standard DVD Video? Or id you put on a bunch of WMV files and avi fils etc?

When it says the player supports DVD+R that means you can put in DVD+R discs. All current players support dual layer. If it is old (I mean reeeeally old IE pre 1999) It may not have DL support.. but then it also most certainly would not have DVD+R support.

No, it can only play on a DVD player that says it is capable of reading double layer DVDs

Shove it in and see,You will not be doing any harm to it,I say it will work you can but try,most DVDs are duel layer these days anyway.

yes, most shop bought films are dual layer as they are not compressed to fit on a 4.7gb disc.
just put any proper film in your p.c. and check the size, will normally be between 5 and 7 gig,(dual-layer) !

It should work. Regular movies are usually dual layer anyway i think.
