If you plan to use your wine colors, that would be good for your accents in drapes, pillows, etc.

Your question was of particular interest to me, because I have a moss green sofa and beige carpet! My entertainment center armoir is oak, and it's the only wood piece in the living room area. My coffee table has a bronze-y base topped by glass.

My walls are a pale, pale gold. I have two round tables with custom made medium gold cloths My two club chairs are upholstered in deep brown with tiny gold and red stripes. On the sofa are rust and gold throw pillows, and a multi-colored chenille throw in shades of gold and reds - ranging from rust to deep red.

I have pale gold sheers with red and gold tie-back tassels. My window is topped by a custom valance in shades of reds with a little bit of moss. My dining chairs, in an alcove in the "great room," have cushions in the fabric of the valance.

My art work is all different - an abstract, a Tuscany scene, a tree, and an abstract sunset, but all contain the reds, rusts, greens, and golds.

I love my living room. I worked hard to achieve the look, and it's a relaxing, soothing place for me. I love when the sunlight lights up the room as it filters through the gold sheers and bathes the walls in a golden light. At night, the room looks mellow and warm.

That's my look, and it works. However, the moss is a neutral color, as is the beige carpet, so you could have a fabulous look with other colors, as well. The wine sounds nice, and there are many shades of dusty, silvery plums and deep eggplant that would complement your colors.

From what you mentioned, I might actually pick out the wine colors and make pillows and/or drapes that color. It will help break up any monotony of green between the sofas and the plants. You could also mix or accent it with some of the other green shades from the vases you have, a lighter one for instance, to keep it from getting too dark in your room.

I would get drapes with a beige, burgundy and matching green pattern. Also add burgundy candles ,pillows, and a throw.

Tans, browns, reds! It depends on how much drama you are looking for!
