although it would be tempting, I have done it before, and looking back, I know that I did it because I didn't trust him. I shouldn't have been with him because of that.
There is something about crossing that line, I think that it changes you in a bad way.
I have learned...I will NEVER do it again...and if I am ever tempted to a great extent to do it, I will know that I need to reassess the relationship, becuz I would know that I don't trust him...and with no trust, there is NO relationship!

Certainly not, it's is the contents of someones minds thoughts and recollections, as well as their own confessions to their own hearts, I personally do Not keep a diary going, I have my wife to tell me what's on my mind, and like the proverbial elephant, she never forgets. So if you have access to a private JOURNAL SUCH AS A DIARY, TELL WHOEVER IT BELONGS TO TO PUT IT AWAY, and far enough away from your own temptaions at wanting to read its contents, and remember, anyone that betrays a trust in my mind is completely untrustworthy, do you love your chosen on enough to trust them that whatever they write in thier Diary will remain thier private business, he/she may be referring to you as the greatest thing that has ever happened to them, so believe them when they whisper " I Love You" it's ver likely, the truth........ the way that I see it is, if they are hiding something from you, then you probably dont want to know about it.
And then if you look and it turns out that they are not hiding something, but you have looked then you should feel pretty bad for looking.
Also shows the lack of trust in the relationship so this person should probably not be either you boyfriend or girlfriend

heck no!, if they wanted you to know they would tell you!
besides if you had a diary and someone else read it,how would you feel..............betrayed im sure!
You will find you benifit more from not reading it,Although you may be curious ,but better off if you dont!
The only reason i could think of to read it would if you thought there life may be in jeapordy!
Like if they were acting suicidal or something of that nature!

no definitely not because the thought that wants to read it comes from a dodgy place,and if i live my life coming from dodgy places my life ,and my inner world would become a nightmare.
If i read my wifes personal diary or emails ,It would not be for a healthy reason,so it would be impossible to have a healthy outcome.
its about "boundaries"

It wouldn't be right. I don't think I would unless it was some sort of life-threatening situation. Boyfriends and girlfriends should trust each other.
It would be tempting, though.

I truly don't know.
Before I wouldn't. Now, well,...I'm divorced. Have had a hard time. So, if that can teach me what mistakes to avoid...
Only, there might be things I am not supposed to know.
I do find it hard to lie, even tiny ones. So, what if I let something slip?
I really don't know. I possibly would.
Maybe he did it on purpose to see if he can trust you. xx

NO. What I dont know wont hurt me. Besides, if he loves me that much...he wouldn't have anything to hide. If I love him that much, I should be able to give trust and respect w/o suspicions.
If he was hiding something for me, why should I be bothered by it? He's the one with secrets...

no i wouldn't read it i would leave it be. a diary is a place to write there personal thoughts and dreams. if he/ she wanted you to know they probably would tell you!
