also BMI? the news story on models having to have at least 18 BMI (body mass index) how do you figure that out?

It's between 18 and 25.

Pretty sick that the USA and BRITAIN won't follow what the modeling agencies in Spain and Italy did in banning models who didn't fall into that range for working for them.

They just go on and promote this sickness that is destroying girls and women in our society. It's time someone took a stand and I don't know why you men put up with it either. You really want to spend a lifetime with a woman like that to influence your children?

Between 18% and 32% body fat for the average woman. Less than 18% for athletes. Over 32% is overfat.

BMI should be between 18.5 and 24.9, but body fat percentage is a better indicator of health.

BMI = ( Weight in Pounds / ( Height in inches ) x ( Height in inches ) ) x 703

Metric BMI Formula
BMI = ( Weight in Kilograms / ( Height in Meters ) x ( Height in Meters ) )

For lean body type fat % is between 17 to 22
and for normal body type fat % is between 22 to 25

what's average?

i don't believe that bmi crap anyway. my uncle's ex wife weighed like 180 lbs, but she was all muscle. her bmi would have been like 35, when she was one of the skinniest people i have ever seen.
