I mean, they can't try desperately to poke a hole in a reasonable theory and then at the same time honestly
believe that a giant spirit dropping off people he made of clay "just because" on a tiny speck of a planet in a million oceans of galaxies just to 'test' them makes more sense.
Yeah, and it's not the 'big bang'! God "spoke it into existence"! that makes SO much more sense.

Creationists can't possibly think they have any credibility and are in any position to criticise evolution when their alternate belief which makes more sense to them is
1) based on a book 2) completely supernatural.
Can you imagine if scientists adopted that nonsensical belief system because the "bible said so", it ultimately sets science back to the dark ages, just like it had been doing for hundreds of years.

Creationists really do want to halt discovery based on superstition and foundationless fear.

I agree with you, except on one point.
The creationists I know sure do think they have credibility. They think that quoting one line from the bible gives them credibility. It is pretty creepy.
If they would actually read the first two chapters of the bible, and see the contradictions in those two creation stories, they might think differently.

I disagree, the laws of nature and science are man made laws, God does defy those laws. Those who think they descended from apes or crawled out of some primordial ooze are those ones who don't have much credibility. The Big Bang theory has been proved up to the first couple of seconds of time by Einstein and a team of other scientists yet evolutionist keep trying to poke holes in that, I would take Einstein's word over any other scientist as nobody as proved to have greater genius ability. There are plenty of things that scientist cannot explain so they chose to ignore them. And perhaps if scientist did adopt that "nonsensical belief system" they would have everything figured out by now. Creationist do not halt discovery based on superstition and foundationless fear, it is just what makes the most sense and people with common sense know that. I think people who believe in evolution are the ones who have the fear, if creationist are right then they will find themselves in deep sh!t won't they.

People don't believe it's possible that we evolved from primates. Wow, I know that's so much crazier than the idea of an androgynous being of the "sky" who can see and hear and know everything! Right! Someone made a comment that science shouldn't be trying to solve mysteries, there are mysteries for a reason. That's idiotic. Science and technology and all of that crap that "we shouldn't do" is the reason that you are typing on a freakin computer on the internet. So horrible.

It is an amazing lack of rational thought. If you can entertain the idea that God (as described above) can exist, then you should be able to accept what can be shown within the laws of physics, biology, archaeology, etc.

YOu do know the Big Bang came from a Catholic Priest, don't you!

You do know science tried to squash it because it resembled Gensis too much.

Dr. Hoyle, a beleiver in Steady State, is the one who named it and he was making a Joke, however that Joke of a Theory had TWO PROOFS made on the postulation.

Spectral shifts in stars and galaxies and background gamma radation, both of which were predicted BEFORE we had the technology to supply the proofs.

What YOU don't understand is you LIVE in a world of Creationsim.

Hair dryers, autos and microwave ovens don't grow on trees nor did they evolve from the waters of the Earth.

Your house pets did not evolove they were BREEDED by people with WILLFUL INTENT. Dogs and Cats are Created by intellegent minds not by nature.

Isn't it FUNNY how we live in a WORLD of creationsim but yet deny it exists.

What you DON'T WANT TO ADMIT TO is that there is SOMETHING GREATER THAN YOU ARE IN THE UNIVERSE. Some intellegence that makes you look like, well, a monkey in comparison.

That's the whole crux of the argument.

NATURE is so wonderful that it created MAN accidentally from a Gilbert Chemistry set, but we have to use CREATIONISM to make underwear with elastic bands and tampons.

Strikes me it's FAR HARDER to build a human than it is to build a tampon!

Stikes me some plant could produce a fully shapped wad of cotton by ACCIDENT.

I mean why did NATURE make woman have a monthly if NATURE didn't plan for it!

AND most importantly, why don't dog, cats, birds and great apes wear CLOTHING

Why is it ONLY HUMANS are shy about their "private parts."

Why is it we allow dogs to water on fire hydrants but not man!

Why are YOU so indoctrinated into a belief system you OPPOSE

Did you know that 80% of the ANIMALS in the world are NOT MANOGOMUS. NATURE'S WAY, the DARWIN way is domination and then parting.

Why, if you are such a RANDOMIST and NON-REIGIOUS do you cling to the ONE MAN ONE WOMAN basis.

You should, like the lower animals, just let a big guy dominate, have is way and then trott off, without even asking yoru name or sayings thanks.

You are INDOCTRINATED and don't even realize it.

WE have you by the nose and you go along with it, picking and choosing what to accept.

You selectively CHOSE what RELIGIOUS beliefs to embrase.

That makes you, by defintion, a PROTESTANT!

A REFORMIST religionist!

Now, show us how FREE you are from God, go take your clothes off, live like the rest of the animal kingdom you came from without shame or the concept of shame, Dear Eve, or accept the fact WE GOT TO YOU, to a degree at least!

You build the typical straw-man anti-science case against us. In reality, Christians are not against science and technology. We only object to unproven theories of evolution that seek to give weight to atheistic naturalistic philosophy rather than focusing on the facts themselves. And now that you mention it, creationists have an added branch now called inteligent design which deals in SCEINTIFIC FACTS that would lead any inteligent thinker to the conclusion that a supreme being created the world. It is much more plausible to think this complex world was designed and constructed by an inteligent being than being the product of the chance and the elements combining.

Perhaps the reason God seems "non-sensical" to you because you do not know him. Once you get to know God and start reading the Bible, it all starts to make sense.

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. -2 Corinthians 4:4

Voila! an remarkable subject be counted wherein trouble-free floor between 2 very a number of issues ought to be chanced on. whether you have self belief in worldwide Warming or no longer the actuality nonetheless remains temperatures are increasing and the polar ice caps are melting. you will ought to blind or stay decrease than a rock to no longer observe those issues. the main appropriate reason i think of that many people positioned this off as fiction is by technique of the fact in the event that they agree and stick to technology this time it makes them look undesirable for putting different issues off that technology has additionally shown actuality (evolution, great bang concept, etc.). they do no longer wanna area with it now to sidestep looking undesirable in the long-term it is trouble-free BS. this is iciness right here in Florida and we are dealing with 80 degree climate! I advise that's frequently warm, no lie, yet iciness is frequently the time the place it drops to a minimum of 60. Why people won't be able to place their ideals aside to realize our planet is in extreme hassle is previous me. the two way Christianity has continuously executed the choice of what this is supposedly meant to do....

No.

YOU, said it, theory.
Better yet you said reasonable theory.

Why don't you wake up.
Most are not against science, don't be ignorant.
They are against the scientists who with the preconceived notion that there can't be a God, continue to be obstinate.
Should not science consider all possibilities rather than trying to prove a creator doesn't exist.
Mankind is very fallible.
Yet you would criticize someone for speaking up against theories of mankind which can never be proved beyond a shadow of doubt.

Who is really living in the dark?
I'll tell you.
Anybody who puts there FULL trust in mankind,
is living in the dark.

Oh the pride of man! Secular Humanism, man sees himself greater than the creator, reminds me of one that was in heaven and felt he was equally to God, we all know where he ended up. As we read in that "goofy old book" "only a fool would say in his heart there is no God". It's all just too perfect to just happen by itself, I know it is easy to sit on the sidelines and take your pot shots but did you ever consider to take a look @ the scriptures and see what they say? I would encourage you to take a look in the NT at the book of John, it won't cost you anything but a little time it could make the difference where your soul spends eternity. But then again you probably find it easier just to criticize what others believe. Bottom line Jesus loves you, died for you and wants you to trust Him as your Lord and Saviour. He tells us He came not into the world to condemn the world but came that the world might be saved through Him.

Their attitude to science is crazy. I'm an atheist but I believe that if God exists then science would be the only means of revealing it yet some conservative Christians would prefer to keep us in the dark ages.

We can still because God made us they're trying to play God. Some are successful, some are not. It's ridiculous scientists trying to solve's life's mysteries. They're meant to be mysteries and now they aren't anymore!!
