White gold looks alot better. I alway thought of yellow gold as too flashy. So unless you are a rap star from the 80's go with the White gold

if she is anything like me she would prefer platinum. but you might not want to spend that much, they are very expensive. i wanted platinum, couldn't afford it, i wanted the silver color but not the cheapness of silver, so my boyfriend got me the white gold, it does not get bent easily and it still shines i have only cleaned it once. from now on that is the only kind of gold that i want. it is a very pretty color and more durable than yellow gold. GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY VALENTINES DAY.

If she prefers white gold, shouldn't it be white gold? I like silver too.

Our opinions don't matter. She wants silver. White gold looks like silver. What more do you need to know?

Love is a wish-fulfilling gem whose light of healing spreads all around. We have still not understood how powerful and miraculous love is .It blesses and heals all those involved in it: the person who loves the person to whom love is directed and even people around.Walk out of your body and walk out of your mind.Speak in EXTAISE and convey your feelings to your beloved.Communicate that single most important thought you have been obsessed with and that remains still unsaid...
White gold is an alloy of gold and some white metals such as silver and palladium. White gold can be 18kt, 14kt, 9kt or any karat. For example, 18kt yellow gold is made by mixing 75% gold (750 parts per thousand) with 25% (250 parts per thousand) other metals such as copper and zinc. 18kt white gold is made by mixing 75% gold with 25% other metals such as silver and palladium. So the amount of gold is the same but the alloy is different.
Traditionally nickel was used in white gold, however, nickel is no longer used in most white gold made today as nickel can cause reactions with some people.
When white gold rings are new they are coated with another white metal called Rhodium. Rhodium is a metal very similar to platinum and Rhodium shares many of the properties of platinum including its white color.
Platinum is a white metal, but unlike gold it is used in jewelry in almost its pure form (approximately 95% pure). Platinum is extremely long wearing and is very white, so it does not need to be Rhodium plated like white gold.
Platinum is very dense (heavy), so a platinum ring will feel heavier than an 18kt gold ring.
Platinum is, however, very expensive. A platinum ring will be approximately twice the price of an 18kt white gold ring (excluding gemstone costs).

For the ring, I would suggest you get her a white gold because you are the one choosing it. You shoudl choose the one you think is right for her. Whatever you buy for her, she'll love it. Don't worry.
If you want to get her something else too, try getting her something she really loves and adore her whole life. Something she cherishes always and makes her happy. Usually it would be something she liked when she was young but it can be anything.
Not all things are something to do with jewellery. As long as it makes her happy, you'll be happy too. This will make 2 hearts happy instead of 1.
