It's not up to you or them to initiate contact between the parents. It's up to your daughter and your future son-in-law to set up a meeting between you but only when they feel it's time to do that.

I feel sorry for your daughter and her fiance'; they are obviously in for a real treat if you are already worried about this type of issue.....good grief....call them and don't be a pain in your kids side with this type of craziness, life is too short

I don't know if there is etiquette on who has to call who first, but if you want to call them and introduce yourself or whatever, then do it! I am sure they would appreciate the gesture.
