Genesis 4:17 says, "Cain lay with his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch." Who was his wife? It is implied in the biblical text that Cain married one of his sisters. Several facts lead us to this conclusion.
First, it is clear that Adam and Eve had a number of children. Genesis 5:4 says, "After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters." Since Adam and Eve were the first man and woman, and since God had commanded them (and their descendants) to be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:28), it seems reasonable to conclude that Cain married one of his many sisters. It is also possible that he married a niece or even a grandniece.
One must keep in mind that in the early years of the human race there were no genetic defects that had yet developed as a result of the fall of man. By the time of Abraham, God had not yet declared this kind of marriage to be contrary to His will (see Genesis 20:12). Laws governing incest apparently did not become enacted until the time of Moses (Lev 18:7-17; 20:11,12,14,17,20,21). Hence, there was no prohibition regarding marrying a sister (or niece or grandniece) in the days of Cain.

Let's get the story straight first,
(American Standard) Gen 4:16-17 says, "And Cain went out from the presence of Jehovah, and dwelt in the land of (1) Nod, (2) on the east of Eden.(1) That is Wandering 2) Or in front of ) 17And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch
It doesn't say that the wife came from Nod. It just says that he "knew his wife; and she conceived"
Where did this wife come from?
In Gen 5:4 we read, "and the days of Adam after he begat Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters"
The fact that Cain's history is found in chapter four does not prevent the time setting of his wife to be from chapter 5. Since the Bible says that the human race came from Adam and Eve, God in the very beginning expected and saw Adam and Eve's children marry each other.
Thus Cain's wife was also his sister.
There is no chronological statement in the Bible that claims otherwise, and there is no statement to claim that the events are necessarily stated in chronological order!

When Cain was sent to the land of Nod to become a vagabond and fugitive he knew his wife. What female also lays in the land of Nod??
Who did Cain take as a wife?
The question is very obvious if you think that perhaps Eve had many children, but the Bible only speaks in the beggining of her offspring and so we must pay attention to what is read and not what we think happened because the Bible speaks the truth,
So who was Cains wife you ask?
The answer to that is what do you think inhabited the Land of Nod that Cain took as a wife and started his generations that were not from Adams generations.\
Cain built a city called Enoch and his generations there grew.
The only living things in the Lan of Nod were animals and Cain!
For this very reason when you read revelations in the Bible it strictly forbids anyone to add or take away the vents written.
Are we to say different?
That question is very obvious today that all Mankind are from Generations of Eve, but not all children were born of Eve and she was not the only Mother in the begging of generations to come, but her blood flows in each and evry human being on earth regarldess from whos side it came from.
This is why human is human and animal is animal./

If you want to take the Bible literally... Cain must have created children with his sister or an ape. However, due to inconsistancies just like this, I cannot take it literally. Have you ever seen a ghost? No, but you have heard of them. Have you ever heard God speak? No, but He speaks many times in the Bible. New testament says God is the spirit of love....which only talks via your conscience. Good luck with that literal interpretation.

Adam(PBUH*) and Eve had more than just Cain and Able. Cain and Able married their sisters. Then when Able died Eve gave birth to Seth. The Christian Bible just took out the real story of Adam(PBUH*) and Eve.

Adam and Eve had many children. Cain could have taken a relative with him. I am sure God would have made more people if they just asked. It gets tricky when we try to solve problems.

Genesis Chapter 1 - 26 Then God said, “Let us make people in our image, to be like ourselves. They will be masters over all life—the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the livestock, wild animals,and small animals.”
27 So God created people in his own image;
God patterned them after himself;
male and female he created them.
28 God blessed them and told them, “Multiply and fill the earth and subdue it. Be masters over the fish and birds and all the animals.” 29And God said, “Look! I have given you the seed-bearing plants throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food. 30And I have given all the grasses and other green plants to the animals and birds for their food.” And so it was. 31 Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was excellent in every way. This all happened on the sixth day.
I believe that God made more than just one man and one women. He just focused on Adam and Eve as the ones he chose to mentor.

I love watching creationists try to wiggle their way out of this one. When will people admit that the Bible is a mythology? Why is it so important for it to be literally true? Is the real world that scary for you?
