Under File > Page setup you can change the margin.

If you want that new margin to be the default for all future documents, set the margin and then save it as a blank document. Use the filename "normal.dot" and change the filetype to template. You may get a message asking if you want to overwrite the existing normal.dot. Tell it yes.

note is marketed as a WYSIWYG note processor. it is no longer - quite, it is what Microsoft thinks you should get is what you get. Very troublesome. besides to fiddling with the area margins, different belongings you may do to attempt to out-imagine note are: - regulate the right and bottom margins - regulate paragraph spacing. you could upload a line between paragraphs to improve the fabric, or in case you've already got an area (or area and a 0.5) on the start of a paragraph, you may remove the sparkling line and easily indent the first line of each and every paragraph. - regulate the line spacing. when you're utilising double spacing, bypass to area and a 0.5, or maybe unmarried spacing. - upload complicated web page breaks. - cut back the margin on the right and bottom of the web page - replace the font length - replace the font. cases Roman takes a lot less area for a given font length than different fonts (and seraph fonts are continually more desirable legible). convinced, it is boring, yet you should make a compromise someplace. - once you've embedded figures, you could replace their length. - or, you could replace the way the textual content flows round figures. quite of having a parent interior the midst of the web page without textual content on both area, you could position a parent off to at least one area with textual content next to it.

Go to 'File' select 'page set up' and you'll see the margins. The standard margins are usually 1.0 or .9.

In view select 'print layout' and you will see exactly how it will print.
