stopping to help the wounded. church is just a physical structure that is there to help support your faith. but being Christ like is in your heart and soul. being Christ like is being closer to God.

and if you happen not to believe in God, doing the right thing is always good for you and the person you are helping.

This is kind of like the Good Samaritan story right?

Doing God's Will first and foremost involves showing compassion for others. Helping someone who had been hurt in a car accident, etc., would be a greater act of faith and commitment than going to church.

I guess stop and help the wounded but I have to be honest - I'm never on my way to church.

The story of the Good Samaritan seems to mean that we ought to never be too busy for those in need. We are commanded to love God with everything in us, and our neighbor as ourselves. We love ourselves enough to want to be helped, so we should help.

Both can be 'right' in God's sight. God sees the heart, (which is different than what man satends to think/say). (1 Samuel 16:7).

Go to church, organize the people, then go take action to help the people. There is strength in numbers!

I think most evangelists would run over the guy and play the banjo on the way to church.
