I seek the Gods and Goddesses because they are a part of who I am. It took me many many years of debating with myself before I realized that there are countless "correct" paths and that becoming Wicca, if it was right for me, was not a sin against the Christian God. I discovered that the Christian God actually DOES play well with other religions and that it's our own insecurities that make us distrustful and afraid of differing beliefs. Through discussion, reading and meditation, I found myself continuing to be drawn to the God and Goddess and I can honestly say that through seeking them, I have become happier, calmer, more tolerant, less judgmental, and altogether a better person. In no way am I saying this is the right path for everyone... it isn't... but it's definitely the right path for me.
Blessed Be.

There are no Gods but the one God,and certainly no Godesses.
Jeus did not parade His divine nature before man but showed true humility so that we would not get ideas above our station in life and consider ourselves equal to God.

Actually, Jesus told the Essenes to pray to both their Father in Heaven, and their mother in Earth. - source "The Gospel of Essenes"

I think people just tend to follow religion coz their parents did & coz they think it helps them deal with their emotional issues (& allows them to socialize more).
